Dean
When they'd gone to the location Ash had tracked Maria's phone to, they had to ring it until they'd found it in the middle of an alleyway.
"I guess we can forget witnesses." Sam had sighed in defeat.

Anna and Sam had been working alongside Dean from the moment he told them what had happened. They'd stayed overnight at his place and in the morning they'd picked up where they left off. They sat in the living room brainstorming, they'd reported it but the police were still making minimal effort.

He knew what losing someone felt like, he'd felt it too many times before. But losing someone that was still out there, and without spending enough time with them was enough to drive him crazy. He got up from his seat for the fourth time in the past thirty minutes.

"Ok let's look at this from another angle." Sam and Anna looked up at him in surprise. "Let's assume this wasn't random. Who could have a reason to kidnap her?" He suggested. The two sitting on the couch rolled their eyes.
"She's a high ranking lawyer, Dean. The list must be endless." Sam sighed.

"But is anyone on that list even out of prison?" Anna shrugged. Dean and Sam's eyes widened, she was right.
"Call Ash." Dean snapped.

Maria
She woke up again in blackness, uncertain whether it was night or day. She'd dreamt about Dean and when they'd met for the first time. The way he'd charmed her so easily despite how closed off she kept herself from others, the way they'd danced and had such a great time. The best time she'd had in a long while.

She desperately tried to swallow the rising lump in her throat. Would she see Dean again? Did he even know she was in trouble or did he think she was just mad at him again? A tear rolled down her cheek, she hoped he wasn't in the room. She wanted so badly just to wipe the moisture away but the painful ropes around her wrists cut harder the more she struggled.

"Maria there's no point, I've tied them tightly enough." He said. She jumped a little, she hadn't been aware he was there.
"They're tighter than 'enough', asshole." She snarled.
"For someone tied to a chair you're pretty rude." The torch turned on.

Maria could just about make out the figure of Gordon Walker standing in front of her. He smiled widely at her, she could see his bright teeth in the darkness. "Now I know you're just dying to see your precious Dean, but I'm afraid I don't think you're gonna make it." Did he know?

"The hell are you talking about." Maria growled. Gordon chuckled mirthlessly.
"How cute, you thought I didn't realise." A cold hand stroked her cheek and she snapped her head in it's direction and bit down.

Gordon yelled out in pain and tried to retract his hand, but she locked her jaw tight, sinking her teeth in until she could taste blood. She felt his fist connect with her jaw and she let go reflexively. She spat the warm fluid from her mouth.
"Filth like you doesn't get to touch me." A pained laugh erupted from Gordon.

"Oh and Dean does?"
"Dean makes you look like a pile of cow shit, you son of a bitch." She felt something heavy and hard connect with the side of her head and suddenly it was very hard to keep her eyes open. She drifted away, the coppery taste of blood lingering in her mouth.
