Dean
He hadn't had any particular activities planned that Saturday, but he could certainly have thought of something if he'd known Sam was going to come over and drone on and on about his date with Anna last night.

"And she got a strawberry milkshake for dessert, and it was just so cute because it gave her a moustache, and I was like 'maybe a straw would have been better?' And she laughed!" He babbled.
"Yeah that's freakin' wonderful Sam but I really couldn't care less." Dean sighed rolling his eyes.

"Someone got out the wrong side of bed this morning..." Sam snorted.
"Not all of us had a date last night and at least eight hours of sleep." Dean snapped.
"Have some coffee or something?" His brother suggested.
"Don't tell me how to live my life, kid."

He slumped further down into his couch and closed his eyes.
"When did you go to sleep?" Sam asked.
"Can't remember." He answered bluntly. Sam was silent for a while and Dean opened one eye, the man was watchinging him suspiciously.

"Are you hungover?"
"Possibly." He muttered.
"Dean you can't just get drunk by yourself because you're sad about Maria." Sam scolded. Dean sat up, irritated. Who was Sam to make assumptions?

"I'm not sad about Maria. If she doesn't like me then whatever. I don't care." Sam was eyeing him with raised eyebrows, unconvinced.
"Sure, Dean. If you're not sad about her then why haven't you been with someone else yet?" It seriously got on Dean's nerves when Sam played psychologist.

"Just mind your business, Sam."

Anna
Pushing her cart along, she added flour to her shopping. All she needed was milk, so she headed to the dairy section. She was looking forward to making her specialty, red velvet cake, later on. Maybe she'd ask Sam to try some. As she picked up her usual 1% and dumped it in the cart, she noticed a familiar figure standing by the freezers.

It was Maria, adding a tub of ice cream to a basket full of junk food. She was wearing sweat pants and a hoodie, it was strange seeing her so underdressed but almost funny in a way to see the contrast. She caught her eye and waved. Maria smiled and made her way over.

"Hey!" She greeted, "I didn't know you shopped here."
"Yeah, just getting some ingredients." Anna told her. Maria peered at the contents of her cart.
"Ooh are you making cake?" Her eyes sparkled. Suddenly Anna had an idea.

She could invite Maria over for some cake and try and find out why she wasn't talking to Dean, and advise her on what to do. Maria didn't really look like the type who took advice but it was worth a try. Under her hard lawyer exterior, she seemed very down to earth. Maybe they could become friends.

"Yeah, red velvet. It's my specialty." Anna smiled, Maria only appeared to become more excited.
"Ugh that sounds amazing." She groaned. "I used to bake a lot in high school but when college came around I just didn't have time anymore.
"I understand your struggle." Anna laughed. She feigned an 'I have an idea!' Face and Maria perked up.

"Hey, if you want you could come over and have some!" She suggested as if she'd just thought of it.
"Yes! I'd love to!" Maria cried. She got her phone out and requested Anna's number, she relayed it to her and her pocket buzzed with a text from Maria.

"I'll text you at some point tomorrow, I'm making it then so if you want I can teach you how." Maria nearly dropped her basket clapping excitedly.
"Oh my god that would be great." And with that they said their 'see you tomorrow's and went separate ways.

Anna silently applauded her genius idea.
