Maria
Maria was grocery shopping, and she was in an awful mood. Yesterday she'd gotten home from Dean's and slept until late afternoon and done nothing for the rest of the day. She didn't understand, all Dean had done was tell it how it was but for some reason it had deeply angered her.

She herself knew they were just fooling around, no feelings involved. She'd said it to herself before to justify her actions, but when she'd heard it out loud it had rung differently in her ears. She tried desperately to shoo away the sinking feeling in her stomach and put it down to worry for the case.

Dean had called her a few times yesterday but she'd ignored him, declining each call against her instincts. As she stood in the ice cream aisle, she decided she wasn't going to let this go on. She was the best damn attorney in Texas and she was going to prove it.

Anna
It was a chilly Sunday and Anna decided she was going to get a hot chocolate in a nearby cafe. She wrapped her favourite red scarf round her neck and shrugged on her coat, she'd read the temperatures that day weren't kind. She carefully put her newest book in her bag and left her house.

Luckily for her, the cafe was nearby and Anna didn't have to suffer long in the biting cold. After a ten minute walk, she reached the quaint little place and relief washed over her when she stepped inside the warm building. After ordering her drink, she took an armchair and small table in the corner and opened her book.

A few chapters in, she lost track of time. She put down her book and looked at her watch, it was 4. She glanced around the shop just as a very tall man in a long black winter coat entered. He had to duck his head just to get through the door, and once inside he pulled down the scarf covering his face.

It was Samuel Winchester. In a panic, Anna snatched her book back up to cover her face, but peered over it to watch him. He ordered a coffee and a bran muffin, then looked around the cafe for somewhere to sit. He caught eyes with Anna and she dropped the book in shock.

A smile broke across his face, displaying his dimples and it was heart stopping. He carried his plate over to her table.
"Hey judge Gao!" He said.
"Uh hi, Mr. Winchester." She replied, scrambling for her book that was on the floor somewhere.
"Would it bother you if I sat here?" He asked.

She froze momentarily, then placed the book on the table and nodded.
"I don't know if there's rules against this-" she started.
"I'm sure it's fine if we don't discuss work." He shrugged, smile still in place. She relaxed a little, he was right. Probably. The dimples were making it hard to decide.

They sat and talked, she was nervous at first but Samuel's friendly personality drew her in quickly and soon they were discussing everything from their favourite reads, to how they survived college and their favourite world cuisines. They were finally kicked out at closing time and he walked part of the way home with her.

Just as he was about to go his own way, he turned back and handed Anna a card.
"If it's ok with you, I'd really like to do this again, I wrote my personal number on the back. Call me if you want." He flashed her a toothy grin and waved, walking away.

Damn those dimples.
