Sam
Sam sat at his laptop writing a report, but he was distracted. Of course Dean had managed to have some kind of inappropriate relationship with the prosecuting attorney and even worse, continued it with her after the trial had been postponed. The worst part was that he was completely unsurprised.
He was angry with Dean but he couldn't afford to let it get in the way at this moment in time. He had responsibilities, unlike his brother, and he was not going to let them interfere with impressing Judge Gao. The minute she had entered that court room Sam had been drawn to her.
He'd heard about her success as a new judge all over the law network. She wasn't cold and emotionless like most judges, she was able to put herself in the place of both the defendant and victim to build a balanced view of the cases she oversaw. He certainly admired her. His laptop made a sound indicating he'd received an email.
He reopened the tab in his browser and refreshed it. The email was from an Anna Gao. 'Gao?!' He thought and opened it as quickly as his g-mail allowed. It was information regarding the new trial date. He'd already noted it in his calendar but he double checked. On a whim, he copied and pasted her email address and saved it to his phone.
He knew full well this was unprofessional, but he reasoned with himself. It was for the best, there was every possibility he might lose the information of the new trial and need to ask for it. There was also every possibility he might need to invite her for coffee after the trial was over. All totally possible.
He wiped Judge Gao from his mind and tried to concentrate on his report, but he soon found he'd stopped typing. Thoughts of what coffee she might drink and whether she liked blueberry muffins invaded his brain. He decided it would be best for his progress that he do some extensive Google searches on the young judge to find out what he could about her. For the sake of the case of course.
There was no way he just wanted to look at pictures of her on news sites. And maybe save one or two. Or all of them.
Anna
Anna desperately tried to make detailed notes about what had happened in the case yesterday but was struggling. Whenever it came to writing anything about Samuel Winchester, all her attention went to him. The way his hair hung a little over his face when he looked down, how he'd smiled at his brother with dimples to die for.
She was certainly going to have a hard time staying unbiased in the case. She really didn't like Gordon Walker after their first meeting and although it was unprofessional, she hoped that Sam would win the case.
Unfortunately Gordon had the upper hand, his attorney was Maria Ramirez-Santos who was notorious for winning the most unlikely of cases. It truly would take a divine intervention for the Winchesters to win this case, especially as they were appealing against the original ruling.
She was pulled from her musings by a plinking sound from her laptop. The battery percentage read 15.
"But I've only been on it for half an hour!" She cried, scrambling off to find the charger.
