Maria
Soon Maria was staying awake for longer periods but it was still driving her crazy. It left her feeling disorientated and she wasn't able to talk to Dean as long as she'd like. The doctors had tried to reassure her that in a day or so she'd be a lot better and she'd slowly get back into her normal routine.

Dean had gone to get her some toast and he returned with it on a paper plate, tiredly scratching the stubble collecting on his jaw. It suited him, she considered asking him not to shave it off.
"Don't get stubble in my toast."

Dean halted, placing a hand on his chest feigning offence.
"After I went all the way to the cafeteria to get it for you!"
"Just give me the damn toast." He handed it to her, an amused grin on his face.

"Please don't get kidnapped again, you get super cranky." He joked.
"My apologies." She replied sarcastically, mouth full of buttered toast.
"But seriously, don't." Dean added, resuming his post by her bed holding her right hand.

"Missed me, did you?" She grinned, Dean half smiled.
"I'll admit I was worried." She squeezed his hand.
"You still haven't told me what happened." They heard two people enter and turned to see Anna and Sam walk in.

"Don't listen to his version, it'll be edited with heroics on his part." Sam sniggered, Maria laughed.
"Hey guys." She greeted, hugging Anna from her bed and fist bumping Sam.
"How're you feeling?" Anna asked.

Maria shrugged.
"So so. I can stay awake for longer now, they said I might be able to leave tomorrow evening."
"That's great! I'll come over with my box set so you have company." They high fived.

"I thought I got to be on Maria duty." Dean protested.
"Yeah, 'thought' being the operative word in that sentence." Maria snorted. "Are you kidding me Dean? You'll have sat in that chair three nights in a row you need to go home and sleep in a proper bed." She scolded.

Dean smirked.
"You have a proper bed don't you?" Maria glared at him. "Fine, fine."
"She's been in a basement for nearly a week and you're already trying to jump her bones." Sighed Sam, shaking his head dramatically. The four laughed raucously until a nurse came to tell them to shut up.

"So what are everyone's plans for Christmas?" Anna said, making herself comfortable in a chair.
"Well me and Dean usually spend it together but we don't really do much." Sam told them.
"Nothing really." Maria shrugged.

The three whipped their heads round to stare at her incredulously.
"You don't do anything on Christmas?!" Sam exclaimed.
"Nah, my family's huge and mostly scattered around so it's a lot of effort to go anywhere."
"Ever the ice queen." Dean rolled his eyes.

"It's just a day." She said, confused as to why they were so shocked by this.
"Nope. That is not okay." Dean said firmly.
"Agreed." Anna agreed, Sam nodded in support.

"Why don't we all spend it together? Open some presents then go ice skating or something?" Sam suggested.
"That'd be really cool! I'll make a Christmas cake!"
"If Anna's making cake I'm on board." Maria grinned.

"If Maria's dressed as a sexy elf I'm on board."
"DEAN!" They all shouted.
