December 23rd

It was almost Christmas . Lucas was throwing a Christmas eve party ,he was putting up some decorations when Maya walked with Olivia . "How was the walk ? " Lucas asked getting down the ladder . ' Fun ,she slept through it though' she said when she smiled at the one month old . " Do you blame her ?" Lucas said " Hey Riley just called , she wants to go ice skating " ' I know ' Maya answered putting her jacket on the couch .

At the park

They were eating dinner at the pizza place in town . Olivia was with Corey and Topanga . The five of them were done eating and left to go to the park . Riley and Farkle were ice-skating together , Zay was trying to get the attention from this girl . Maya was sitting at the side and Lucas was putting his ice-skates on . He got up and reached for her hand , but she looked at him instead of taking his hand . "What's wrong Maya ?" Lucas asked her . ' I'm going to make a fool of myself '" You'll be fine and if you fall ,I'll catch you " Lucas said pulling her up to her feet . They both got on the rink . Lucas was teaching Maya how to ice-skate when somebody bumped into her making her fall and while she fell she took Lucas down as well .

Maya's Pov

"I'm sorry " I said opening my eyes , I fell on Lucas . Our headswere only inches a part. I would be lying if I said I didn't think of kissing him , but I knew I couldn't do that . ' No need to be sorry 'Lucas got to his feet and scratched the back of his neck ' uem I 'm going to sit over there .' I got up and got of the rink . A little bit later , I was joined by Riley . She sat down and looked at me.

" What's wrong peaches ?" Riley asked .

' I don't know anymore , riles ' I said looking at the ring on my finger . She turned my head towards her and said " Maya , stop hiding your feelings . You love him , if it weren't for this " she took my hand and held it up pointing towards the engagement ring "you two would be the most wonderful couple . You understand him more than I ever did , you know more about him than you'd like to admit .Maya I'm sure you'll make the right decision "

I just sighed . If I would follow my heart then I would hurt somebody else's and if I listened to my head then I'd loose a wonderful person. Life was never easy for me , but this was definitely  one of the most difficult decisions I had to make . ' Riles , I just don't know anymore .  One day I can only think of Josh and the other moment I want to smash my lips against Lucas' lips . ' I told her .

" Maya , you don't even know how much you mean to Lucas . I mean if he could any girl in the whole world , he'd chose you . " She smiled at me . I felt tears welling up in my eyes and then she just took me in her arms and rocked back and forth  like I was  a baby .

' Riles , I need some time to think . To understand what I'm feeling. '

"I know peaches , take all the time you need ." I wiped my tears and watched the people in the park . They were all so happy and laughing . I was thinking about all the things that had happened and all the things I wanted to do . I was interrupted by a certain person with dark brown hair .
