12 - Lies

Yaas an update, finally!! Enjoy the part sunshines of mine....

Btw I suck at dates and stuff like that, so rn it is september around that time.(I thought it was still June or something like that but yeah whatever)

Mayas pov

I get awoken by a scream in the middle of the night. I look at Lucas' alarm clock and see that it is 3.30 AM but that's when I notice that Lucas isn't in bed anymore. I try to get myself out of bed and walk over to the origin of the noise. 

On my way there I take a decorative vase and slowly make my way through the hallway. I follow the screams and then hear another voice. Which leads me to Olivia's room. The door is ajar, making it possible for me to peek through the opening.

I see Lucas sitting in the rocking chair with Olivia in his lap, gently rubbing her back as he rocks the chair with his feet. He tries to sooth the clearly disturbed little girl. I put down the vase and go ahead and warm up a bottle of warm milk with some honey in it. 

As it heats up I rub my belly as my little boy kicks. A smile appears on my face. The bottle is ready and I waddle over to the nursery. I open the door to a clearly tired face and a face stained with tears. I walk over tothe pair and motion for him to get up. 

Lucas does what he is asked and stands up. I sit down in the rocking chair and open my arms for the little girl who gladly accepts them. I wipe her tears with my sleeve and then lay her head on my chest as she drinks her bottle of milk, I stroke her hair in the process. After a while of rocking and humming to the toddler, she dozes back off into her dreamworld. 

Lucas takes her from me and places her in her crib. "I can't believe she is turning two soon." He says as he places a blanket over the snoring toddler. "Yeah it is crazy huh." I answer as I get up from the rocking chair. Lucas turns to me and smiles. "I am glad you are her mom, it's not like her biological mother ever wanted her child." He says as we both walk out the door. 

"You don't know that, from what I have learned a mother and her child have a bond no one could break." I say rubbing my very visible bump. "I don't know,Clarissa has only been 6 months in her life and still." Lucas says sitting down on the bed. I sit down next to him. "I think you should invite her for Olivia's second birthday." I say pulling the covers up. 

I hear him laugh, which earns him a serious face from me. "Oh you're serious?" I nod and then lay down on his chest using it as my pillow. "Why though, I mean didn't you get mad at me because she was back into Liv's life or ?" He spoke while drawing circles on my back. "I don't know, I guess being a mom myself I started feeling different about this whole situation." 

I lifted my head so my chin was now resting on his chest. "Mhmm, we'll see. Lets now focus on preparing for Connor and figuring out where we are gonna live." As if on cue the little huckleberry kicked. "It's 4 in the morning, I have some other things to focus on." I said closing my eyes. Not so long after that I fell in a deep sleep.

Friday, October 6th 2023

Lucas leaves early in the morning to go to his classes for his senior year in college. Sure he thought of his college years differently but if he could choose he would still choose for Olivia, Connor and Maya. He kisses the top of the snoring blonde and then does the same to the other snoring blonde in his life and then heads out the door.
