"The baby is doing great, in just 2 months you'll get to hold him." The doctor spoke. Maya wasn't paying attention to her anymore. She only listened when she really had to, the other things she asked Lucas afterwards. She cleaned the gel of her bump and covered it again.

"Are you ready to meet your son?" The nurse asked as they gave her some papers. "Can't wait to meet this little one, his sister is so excited." Lucas said, looking worriedly at the girl beside him. As they walked outside he stopped her in her tracks.

"Maya, are you alright?" Maya turned around to face him with a small smile. "Couldn't be better." She lied. If Lucas didn't know any better, he would have believed her. "You really have to stop lying about how you feel."He said taking her hand in his. "Lucas, I am fine. I promise." Maya gave his hand a squeeze before walking of.

The car ride was silent and neither of them tried to break it. "Do you want to stop by Riley?" He asked her glancing at her when they stopped at a traffic light. "Sure, but we have to pick Liv up at your parents place." Maya said gently placing her hand on her still growing bump. They picked up Olivia first and then drove to Riley's place.

Maya knocked on the door while Lucas got Liv out of her car seat. "Peaches!" Riley said hugging Maya. "How are you? How is the baby? Is everything okay?" The brunette asked when she saw Maya's face. Maya nodded and waited for Liv and Lucas, before heading inside behind them. The little girl was asleep on her daddy's shoulder when they walked inside.

Lucas' Pov

I offered to help Riley get some drinks, so I could talk to her. "Riles, what is wrong with her?" I asked pouring water in a glass. "I don't know, she should be happy because she can almost hold her baby and you guys are going to be a family but something is off." Riley said taking the glass from me and placing it on a tray making me sigh.

"She did mention something about Clarissa when she called 3 nights ago." said Riley. I glanced over at Maya who was holding Olivia. "Riley, I am scared of what Clarissa told her." Riley sighed and joined me as I stared at Maya. "Maya is strong but right now she is vulnerable because of her pregnancy. Clarissa took advantage of that. What I know is that Clarissa told her you're only using her and using every trick in your arsenal to make her feel special to keep her around. Which Maya wouldn't believe but something made her believe it after a while." Riley said.

"What do you mean?" I asked facing the tall brunette. "I think there is some truth in it maybe." Riley spoke slowly. "You're kidding me right? I have never ever said anything to Maya that I said to Clarissa before. Why can't she just realize that I love her and I don't want to loose her. I just want the four of us living as a family and every single time we get the chance something terrible happens. Riley I can't afford loosing Maya, Olivia and Connor. I just can't." I nearly screamed at her.

Riley's gaze went past me and right behind me. Before I could turn around a voice spoke. "I am sorry," Maya's voice spoke. I turned around meeting a pregnant blonde with a hurt smile on her face. I engulfed her in a tight hug and she just cried. "I hate crying all the time, stupid hormones." She said as I wiped her tears from her cheeks.

I just laughed and kissed the top her head. "Maya, I love you and I would never do anything to hurt you. Do you understand?" I asked her. Maya nodded in response and I once again engulfed her in my arms. It hurt my heart seeing Maya upset about this. I wasn't going to let Clarissa take everything I loved away from me.
