A few weeks later

Farkle watched as the streaks of the sun hit Riley's face and made her look even more peaceful. He stroked her cheek and placed a kiss on her cheek and silently snuck out of the room. He walked down the stairs. They were currently staying with Maya and Lucas. They had just gotten back from their honeymoon. He walked into the kitchen and saw Lucas and Maya already there.

"Goodmorning Farks," Maya said as Lucas handed him a cup of coffee. "Morning," He said as he plopped down beside the couple who were talking about their new baby. It stung, he hated how he couldn't experience things like this with Riley. He must have been looking weird because Maya placed her hand on top of his. He looked up at the pair. Maya had a soft smile on her face and Lucas nodded and stood up. He kissed the top her head and walked up the stairs. "What's the matter darling?" I smiled at her antics. "I wish Riley and I could enjoy parenthood like you guys," his voice was soft. "Why don't you guys consider adoption?" she asked. "I know you two really want a baby of your own but those kids deserve a happy life too," Farkle smiled at Maya and she released his hand, excusing herself when she heard Lucas calling her name. He sat there in silence thinking about the conversation. Though Riley and Farkle had considered adoption a few years ago, it didn't happen. They wanted to adopt Tiana, a little girl they met during their trip to third world countries. Things ended awfully and because of that experience they both decided that maybe they weren't meant to have children.

"Hi uncle Farks," a little girl said as she sat down on her chair beside him. He smiled down at the little girl and then Connor and Lucas entered the kitchen again. "Hi Liv," Farkle said as he watched Lucas putting Connor down in amusement. Connor clearly wanted to stay with Lucas but he had to go to work. "Hi buddy, I am sorry but I have to go help the sick animals. I'll be back at four, and then we'll go and see the baby. Okay?" Lucas told the little boy before setting him down in his chair, connor nodded in response. "Mommy will be here in a second, try not to make this place a mess." he told the kids before giving them each a kiss on the head. Maya stood at the door holding his keys and jacket. "I love you," she said kissing him goodbye. "I love you and I will be back at four so we can go see this little one at five," he said putting on his jacket. She smiled at him and gave him a hug before leaving the house.

Riley woke up and watched  how the sun made the fields and meadows seem so much prettier. She sighed and put on her robe. The smell of chocolate chip pancakes filled her nose. "Goodmorning riles," Maya said, placing a plate in front of the brunette. "Goodmorning Peaches," Riley smiled up at Farkle and the little children, who were devouring their pancakes. Maya watched them in disgust. "So what are you two going to do today?" Maya asked as she bit a piece of her strawberry. "Ueh nothing. We're just going to stay inside and maybe look for some houses," Maya nodded and then turned her attention towards her four year old son. She took a napkin and wiped his face clean. Riley wished she could do the same, she wished it was her. 

The whole table watched as Riley stormed off and slamming the door shut. Maya knew why, she dropped the napkin and silently made her way upstairs. Farkle stayed behind with Olivia and Connor and he felt sad that he couldn't help her. 

Maya heard the sobs coming from inside the room and dropped her hand. She felt the guilt, she was the reason Riley felt bad. She was the reason of her sadness. She walked in the room and found Riley clutching a sonogram that she kept on her nightstand. She was sobbing sitting against the door. Maya sat down beside her and wrapped her arms around the crying girl. "I am sorry," She whispered, Maya told her to not be. "No Maya, I am being ridiculous. It's not your fault! It's my stupid fault," Riley screamed at herself. Maya told her to look at her. "Listen to me and listen to me good. This is not your fault. This is no ones fault. Blake is still here and Riley please never give up hope. Because I did too once and it was a dark time. Riley Minkus, you will have a baby, just keep on believing that it will happen. Please trust me on this," Maya said staring right into Riley's eyes.
