20 - Pain

Penelope was a dream. Her dark brown hair and her blue eyes resembled her parents perfectly. Riley still didn't believe it was true, all of it. She would just wake up and stare at her baby for hours. She had never felt so much love for someone. Not even for Farkle. Penelope was one month old and had already changed from what she looked like when she was just minutes old. 

Riley rocked her baby as she sat down beside Maya in her living room. "So how are the babies doing in there?" Riley asked as Maya rubbed the-already-big bump. Maya groaned as she let her hands rest on top of it. "Good, they like to keep me awake at night if that's what you want to hear," Riley chuckled as she looked down at her daughter. "I am not complaining but hell these children aren't even here yet and I already know they're going to be like huckleberry," Maya said with a smile plastered on her face. "Maya, just three more months and then the baby Friars will be here," Riley said as she placed Penelope in the bassinet. 

"I know, and I can't wait to hold them and snuggle them," Maya made a little squeezing gesture as she spoke. "You're weird," Her brunette friend replied. "Says Riley Minkus, who wanted to be a bunny farmer." The two best friends laughed at the memory of Riley wanting to persue this career. "I don't get why you and Lucas, don't want to find out the genders yet. I mean you have to wait till May till you know what they are," Riley said changing the subject. Maya picked up another book of baby names with exactly the same names. "I don't know, it's kind of exciting," Maya said as she marked a name. 

By the time she was six months pregnant with Connor, he already had a name and everything. But now she had too find not only one name but two. She had no idea what to pick and Lucas had been working late for the past four days. She was cutting the vegetables while Olivia tried to do the math exercises she had to finish. Connor was munching on a carrot as he colored the hood of the car a dark gray. Maya heard the door open and in walked Lucas, wrapping his arms around his wife. "I missed you," His voice was muffled and Maya raised her head as she pecked him on his lips before continuing with cutting the vegetables. 

Riley and Farkle

Riley sat on her bed, her head resting on the headboard as she rubbed Penelope's back. The little girl laid on her moms chest. Riley softly hummed a lullaby. Farkle stood in the door frame admiring his wife and daughter. Riley didn't know he was watching them because she never left her gaze on the little girl. "Riles?" Farkle asked making his presence known. 

"There is someone here for you," Farkle said stepping inside allowing the guests to come in the bedroom. "Mom, dad?" Riley immediately  said as she saw her parents walking inside the room. Cory and Farkle left the two women alone and went downstairs and talked about parenthood. 

"She is so beautiful, Riley," Topanga said as she held her grand daughter in her arms. "I can't believe my baby has a baby," "Mom is everything alright?" Riley asked as she looked at her mom. "It's about Josh," Topanga said after a while. "H-he escaped," Her voice was soft. "What do you mean?" Riley asked sitting up straight. "Mom?" She averted her gaze from her granddaughter to her daughter. "We don't know where he is and he said he was going to get revenge," As soon as Topanga said those words, Riley knew exactly what was going to happen.

Lucas' Pov

"Daddy are you sure mommy is okay with this?" Olivia asked as she tugged on my arm. "Sure, she will be after she sees it," I told the two children who sat on my desk in my office. "Close your eyes and no peeking," I instructed them. I went into the back room and came back. "Okay you can open your eyes now," I said and the two didn't waste any seconds. "Oh my he is so cute!" Olivia exclaimed as I let her pet the little puppy sleeping in my hands. "Can we keep him?" Connor asked as he looked up at me with his big blue eyes. "Of course we can," I replied letting Olivia take the puppy from my hands.
