July 30th 2023

Riley and Maya were sitting at a small coffee shop near the park . They were talking about the events that had taken place in the last couple of weeks . Maya was back to being single , Riley had crashed her bestfriend and uncle's wedding and she dragged her husband into it . 

Maya got over that soon with the help of someone . That someone might have been a tall Texan guy . She didn't want to rush things between thet wo of them . Lucas and Maya were hanging out more and more than before . She sometimes even spent the night at his place . Nothing happened that's what she would tell Riley . Not that Riley believed that but she didn't ask any more questions . 

" So what are you thinking? " Maya asked the daydreaming Riley . " Oh nothing .Just thinking . " She replied simply . Maya started reading a new book about all the art works of Monet . One of her favorite ones .

" You know what would be fun Maya ? " Maya slowly put down her book and looked at Riley with curious eyes . " What ? " She asked the 2 month pregnant brunette . " Going on a trip for the summer . "Maya's attention was now fully drawn to her best friend . " Going on a trip where ? " Riley smiled widely . She had planned this along time ago . 

" Mr Minkus' lake house . We can go there next week if we want to . " " Uhu and let me guess Lucas and Zay are coming too . " Riley smiled at her best friend . " Pretty please with a cherry on top . " She said  with a very desperate tone in her voice . "Okay Riles . " Maya answered . 

August 6th 

Maya was packing her bags an hour before they were leaving . She was making sure she had everything she needed . She was holding Riley's list in one hand and a marker in the other . Every time she had put an item in her bag she had marked the word on the list . 

She skimmed the paper and realized she had everything  . She closed her bag and before she could sit down , someone knocked on her door . She groaned and got up again . She swung the door open to find a clearly tired Huckleberry and baby berries .

" Hey cutie and Huckleberry . " She said with a small smile . " What did I do ? " He sighed and handed Maya the little girl he was holding . She gladly accepted the little girl and gestured for him to come inside . 

" Riley told me to come and pick you up . " Maya sighed and clearly looked agitated with her best friend . " She didn't even tell me this . I'm not done yet . I still have to clean and get some stuff . " She lied . She would rather drive herself to the airport than to go with him . She couldn't hide her feelings that well and she was sure they were going to get the better hand of her .

 " You're lying anyway are these your bags ? " Lucas asked lifting up two bags . She mentally cursed herseld and nodded . Maya told him she had to get her purse . She came back out of her room . Lucas stood up and opened the door for Maya and Olivia .
