"Who is that?" Stiles asked no one in particular, watching as you weaved in and out of people, your eyes set on the destination in front of you. Scott glanced to where stiles was looking, noticing something off about you; Your scent was definitely not human.
"Her name's Y/n. She's a transfer." Lydia's voice echoed in Stiles's ears, his eyes still watching your frame.
"Transfer from where?" Scott asked, now eyeing you suspiciously.
"Whitely duke."
"Where the hell is that? I've never heard of it." Stiles's eyebrows furrowed as he tried to think of the place but couldn't.
"And why is a school named Whitely duke? Who the heck would name a school-"
"It's not a school Malia. It's a mental hospital.. In New York."
"How do you know so much, Lydia?" Scott asked, closing his locker.
"The voices.. I don't exactly know how but it's like they went crazy when she got here.." Lydia watched as you turned, going into the main office.
"So I did some research." Stiles' eyes snapped towards Lydia, his full attention now placed on her.
"And?!" His voice was curious and impatient, he couldn't help it. You fascinated him even in just a few seconds.
"And she was apparently there most of her life until now."
"Why was she placed there?" Scott couldn't help his curiosity bubbling inside of him either.
"Well, the article I read said that she had been hearing voices inside of her head when she was younger. Apparently it got so bad that she didn't even know what voice was hers anymore. So they sent her away when she was eight years old."
"So she's a banshee.." Kira watched as both Scott and Malia shook their heads no.
"Her sent is different. It's not like Lydia's at all." Scott saw the worry and the curious glances his pack gave each other as the you walked back out into the hallway, papers in your hands. As if you could sense they had been talking about you, you turned your head towards the eager pack. Your eyes connected with Scott's and he knew that you were someone who kept your secrets hidden deep within you as you turned around quickly, disappearing into the mass of students.
Scott walked into the boys locker room, heading straight for his locker. His eyes set on the lacrosse jersey hanging from one of the hooks as he opened his locker. After messily stuffing the jersey back into his duffle bag, he shut the locker and headed out the door. He barely made it ten feet before he stopped, his eyebrows scrunching together as he listened to what sounded like singing. His mind went blank, his feet carrying him towards the captivating sound. And soon enough, he stood in front of the girls locker room, the voice louder and even more beautiful than before. Reaching for the handle, he gripped it and pushed the door open and walked into the room. Scott could hear the showers running and something inside of him clicked. He shook his head as if trying to regain his senses. Here he was, standing like a lost puppy in the girls locker room while a girl was showering. What am I doing? He asked himself. The shower turned off and the singing stopped. Scott's eyes widened, realizing he was still in the room, possibly about to see a girl naked. He quickly turned, trying to make it out of the room before the girl saw him but he was to late.
"Scott?" There you were, wrapped in a white towel, water dripping from your skin and hair. Pushing his lips together, he turned slowly, meeting your horrified eyes.
"Oh no.. No no no. What are you doing here?! I made sure no one was in the school before I took a shower!" You frantically paced back and forth, Scott just stared, feeling awkward. Wringing your hands, you tried to think of a way to fix the mess you had made.
"Oh gosh.. How do I fix this?" Scott was tempted to just turn and leave, he was surprised he hadn't already but seeing you worry so much about this made him feel bad.
"Y/n.." Your eyes looked up at him, breath shaky. How could I be so stupid, you thought. You were sure no one was in the school, not wanting to have this happen. But of course, you had bad luck.
"The only way to reverse this would be to kill him. But I can't do that. Oh gosh what have I done!" Scott heard you mumble to yourself, his eyes widening at the thought of him possibly dying because he walked in on you showering.
"Y/n.. I get that this situation is a bit awkward but I don't think you need to kill me.." He joked. Your eyes shot up, meeting his. He watched as your nose scrunched and your eyebrows furrowed together, your eyes still on him. Your head filled with the familiar voices of others, whispering all at the same time.
"Wait.. You're not.. How?" You were beyond confused and so was Scott at this point.
"I should probably just g-" Two words stood out to you as the voices grew louder and realization clicked inside of you.
"Are you a true alpha?" You asked, eyeing him curiously. Scott was taken back by your question. Yes, he had been suspicious that you were not human on the first day of school and that you knew about the super natural, but he didn't expect you to be so straight forward. He nodded, noting how your body visibly relaxed and a smile grew on your face.
"How did you know that?" He asked. Your mind whirled with different excuses but you decided the truth might as well not hurt. "I'm a siren. And only true alphas can dodge the enchantment that my voice places on people.."
A siren? That was certainly something he was going to look up next time he was in the library.
"Oh.. Well I guess that's good then. I should get going, I'll see you at school tomorrow." You nodded, still smiling as he waved goodbye and walked out of the room.
