I wanna breathe you in like you're vapor

I want to be the one you remember

I want to feel your love like the weather

All over me, all over me

I want to print our hands in the pavement

Savour your words, I won't ever waste them

Look in your eyes and know just what you miss

So lie to me, just lie to me

The alarm from her phone blared loudly, deafening her ears. She lets out a frustrated groan, pulling her phone closer to her face. Her eyes squinted at the bright light flaring from the screen, swiping it to end the noise.

It was fudging 6:30 am.

She literally slept for like, thirty minutes and that was just insane. This thing has gone for a month and she was literally sleep deprived.

She has to get up and get ready for school before-

"ELIS!!!" -her mom woke her up.

"I'M UP!" she yelled back, irritation obvious on her tired face. She slid off her bed like a grizzly bear during the hibernating season. It might not be literal that she had to crawl into the bathroom.

She had her cold, freezing shower while brushing her teeth. Too lazy to dry off her hair, she just let it wet on her shirt before grabbing her plaids. She pulled on her canvas jeans, putting on her sweater then she grabbed her bag after throwing her phone in it. She looked around her room, just to note that the bed needed to be done, but she was so done with her life that she thought maybe making up her bed would reduce the problem of hers. And it would avoid her ears got all heat up from her mom's blabber.

Sometimes she had to wonder why her mom always insisted on driving her to school so early in the morning when that hell of a jail would start on eight in the fudging a.m. She was not entirely a morning person, but usually, she won't be this cranky and easily annoyed, but she was, right then, cranky and easily pissed off -an accurate term rather than annoyed- because obviously she was sleep deprived even when she had tried to sleep earlier than the moon started to appear.

"Honey? Are you alright? Lately, you are not in your best mood. Is there anything you want to share with me?" Her mom puts a bowl filled with cereal on the table. Elis could feel her mother's on her back while she was opening the fridge for milk.

Elis shrugged lightly. "I'm fine, I guess something keeps me from sleeping. I don't know. I've tried sleeping earlier, but it didn't work." She sighed, pulling the chair and have her seat. She poured the milk on her cereal and looked up to her mom as she was handing her a spoon. Elis gave her a small smile with a thank you.

"Maybe you think too much about your upcoming finals. Relax dear. I promise I won't disturb you after your finals ended. You'll have your beauty sleep again, but for the time being, try to take care of yourself. I'll make warm milk for you to help you with that, tonight. We'll see how's that going to help, is that fine?" Her mom assured her and hugged Elis from behind before kissing her temple. Elis nodded comfortably and smiled some more.

"Yeah, I guess that's fine by me. Thanks, mom."

"Let's take you to school. And maybe have some sleep during breaks. I think you might need it." Her mom said, looking her straight in the eyes. Or maybe she noticed how the black circles seemed to be her new eye shadow which she never wore her entire life.
