Chapter 6: "Mom" & Daughter talk

"Oh my god Owba shut up it's nobody. Okay?" I said getting some fruit. Owba hasn't stop bothering me about the whole why my face is red and crap. I mean it's not a big deal. Jacob is just a person just like everyone else... just someone who just so happens to be the first to like me. If that's a wword to put for it.

"Come on Jaz I think it's cute." He said helping pick up some fresh fruits. "Also I wonder what Mink would think of you having a crush."

I stopped what I was doing all together looking at Owba. That was a good question what would he do? I shook my head from any other possibilities of what dad would do. Even though I wouldn't know. "Jaz, don't worry I won't tell Mink unless you do something for me." 

"And that would be?" Lila asked taking the words out of my mouth.

"Tell me who this boy is."

Dammit I knew it.

I sighed in defeat knowing I should've seen it coming. "His name is Jacob. I bumped into him in the mechanics area. Also we both share something in common in machines." Owba's facial expression was soft and in awe. I swear he looked more of a women like that. "Go on, what did he look like?"

"Tall, muscular but not in dad's size more like meeediiium I believe? Anyways, He has short spiked white hair and pretty eyes." With a non-straight face.

"Is this the first boy you've encountered or you were with someone else in Midorijima?" Owba asked curiously.

"Actually yeah this is the first guy I'm every encountered. Plus I never thought of boys in an going out way. "

Owba quickly wrapped his arms around my neck hugging tightly squealing. "That's so cute!! Don't worry Jaz you're still young and just have fun dating people who like you for you. But be careful, okay?"

I chuckled. "Okay Owba. So we're keeping this hush hush from dad?"

"I promised didn't I?" Owba put his index finger on his lips. "A secret is a secret."

Soon after we got everything for dinner and other snacks and paying for them. We both went home chatting away about dating in general.

"Did you date Owba?" I asked.

"Uh, no not really I mostly worked a lot and taking care of my granny."

"Granny? Oh that manly granny."

Owba laughed. "Manly?"

"Yeah she's a tough women her age. I've seen her around before and I mostly pass by her place."

"Well, maybe you should visit her sometimes. She would love to see you as my daughter." Owba smiled to the last word.  

"Yeah that would be great. And umm...What do I do with Jacob?"

"Just talk and get to know him a bit. That's the first step complete that then we'll talk on some other things that I can try to explain, okay?"

I nodded. "Okay."
