This night was especially bad.

This day had been especially bad.

He was crossing the street like everyday, but his mind was clouded by a familiar face, her face.

A car honked and he looked up, and there she was, crossing the same street as him, he immediately stopped and she passed him. His heart began to ache by the sight of her, he missed her so much. He wanted to tell her everything, like they always did. He wanted to tell her that sleeping was much harder now and that brushing his teeth wasn't the same as when she used to stand beside him and smear toothpaste on his cheek that she would later kiss goodnight.

He dropped his coffee and turned around and grabbed her shoulder but a stranger turned and faced him. It wasn't her.

That had made it hard for him to sleep that night.

Suddenly a little alert blared on his phone.
