Carter's POV
I never told my mom about the fight. She didn't even know that I wanted to get revenge.
When I told her about Angel and Chase, she wasted no time rubbing it in my face. But when I told her that Chase and I agreed to be friends, she calmed down a bit.
I knew my mom would be disappointed in me if she knew about my plans and alliance. Hell, I wasn't even that proud of myself, but it was too late to turn back now.
Talia and I were becoming closer and closer. It felt nice to have a girl friend. Someone who I could talk about girl stuff with.
Logan had finally asked her to the dance. She said yes. He planned to ask her to be his girlfriend during a slow dance at prom. Logan was the romantic type. Talia was lucky.
Colin wasn't as romantic. He bought me flowers and stuff like that, but he didn't write our names in math equations or carve our names into trees. I was okay with it. I was lucky that Colin even came back to me after everything I had done.
Talia and I were going to eat dinner together at a local café. We both loved their sandwiches.
I had been going to the before school detentions for the past two days. Tomorrow would be Friday and also my last day.
I saw Talia enter the café through the side door. I waved her over to our table.
It was around seven in the evening.
"Carter, hey!" she beamed.
"Why so happy?" I laughed.
"Logan is just amazing. I don't even know." She clapped her hands.
"I think you two are soulmates."
"Me too," she winked, "but don't tell him."
I laughed and nodded my head. Talia and I went to order our food. We picked it up after five short minutes. We went back to our table and commenced eating.
I ordered a lobster sandwich and Talia had soup. She claimed she wasn't that hungry. I, on the other hand, was starving.
Talia and I talked for a while about our guys. I could tell that she really liked Logan because she wouldn't shut up about him.
"I think you two-"I was interrupted by a noise. I looked up to see a stranger looking at us.
It was an average guy. He looked about six feet tall. His hair was black and his eyes were green. He was wearing a letterman jacket with jeans and sneakers.
"Are you two trying to come to a college party?" he smirked.
"We're in high school." I answered.
"Seniors?" he asked.
"Yes." Talia answered.
"That's good enough for me." He shrugged.
"Well, I have a boyfriend." I quickly said.
"So do I." Talia chimed in. I stifled my laugh. She was totally exaggerating.
"Bring them along then." He said. He seemed to have every answer.
"I don't think so." I shook my head.
"Come by yourselves then." He replied.
"No, we have a project to complete. Sorry." I lied. This guy was sketchy.
He shook his head and walked away. I looked at Talia with wide eyes and blew out a breath.
"He was a bit creepy." She killed the silence.
