(Black dress- Angel's dress and Blue dress- Carter's dress)

Angel's POV

Prom was finally here. The seniors got to leave school early to get ready.

Today was the big day. I didn't even bother going to school.

Ruby took me to the hair salon where I got a full makeover. By the time they were done, I had bright brown curly locks dangling from my head.

Next, we went to a department store where I got my make- up done. The professionals were phenomenal. They knew what shade of concealer to give me, they knew which eyeshadow would make my eyes look best, and they perfectly winged my eyeliner.

For once in my life, I felt pretty. I looked at myself in the mirror and smiled brightly.

On the way home, Ruby stopped to pick up the shoes she had ordered for my dress. They were gorgeous black, open-toed high heels.

When we got home, I immediately changed. I had 15 minutes before it would be time for us to take pictures before leaving.

I rushed to my room and quickly put on the strapless black dress that dragged on the floor. It was absolutely beautiful.

I was wearing black to prom and I was proud. I would've worn sweatpants, but I was in the running for queen.

I finished dressing and rushed down the stairs, almost falling on the way. Mike was already downstairs taking pictures with the girls and his parents. He looked handsome in his black tuxedo. He wore a white shirt underneath his jacket and put a white handkerchief in the breast pocket of his jacket.

When he saw me, he came over to tell me I looked beautiful. I didn't argue because I felt beautiful, too.

"Come on, love birds! It's picture time." Ruby smiled as she grabbed the camera from Rick.

The girls stood behind her and watched as Mike and I posed.

"Car is out front." Rick pointed outside.

Mike and I scurried outside to find a black mustang waiting for us.

Rick handed Mike the keys, "Have fun and don't crash."

I hugged everyone before leaving with Mike.

Tonight would be a good night.

Carter's POV

"You look absolutely perfect!" My mom smiled as she snapped a picture of Colin and I.

I was wearing a light blue dress with silver heels. Colin wore a black tuxedo.

My mom wanted to take pictures before Talia and Logan arrived.

Three minutes later, I heard a horn outside.

I looked out my front door to see Talia's head sticking out the sunroof of a limo.

"No freaking way!" I gasped.

"Yes! My mom rented a limo for us!" Talia smiled brightly.

I excitedly hopped inside and joined Talia in the sunroof.

"Colin, babe! Hurry up!" I called for him.

I felt someone slip their hand up my dress. I looked down to see Colin smirking up at me.

"Can you guys just not?" Logan said sassily.

He had been hanging around Talia way too much.

"Love you, mom! See you later!" I waved to my mother.

She snapped another picture and bid her goodbye to us.

We sat in the back of the limo laughing and taking selfies.

The ride to our high school ended too soon. I was having so much fun and prom hadn't even started yet.

"Let's go do our stuff." Colin said to Logan. The two of them met up with Chase by the doors and moved along.

Talia went straight to the dance floor. We tried our hardest to look cool while dancing but we just didn't cut it.

Angel's POV

The whole place was beautiful. Mike went to go get us some drinks and I sat down at a table. I scanned the crowd looking for familiar faces. I saw Carter and Talia failing at dancing, but they didn't care. They did their own thing without shame. They looked so happy laughing with each other.

I must've looked like a demented angel being the only girl in black. Oh well. I was born to stand out.

Mike came back shortly with our drinks. We talked, ate, and occasionally danced.

Someone tapped on the mic, "Attention, students. Can all prom king and queen candidates please come to the stage," our principal said.

"That's my cue." I kissed Mike on the cheek and walked onto the stage, preparing to lose.

Just as I got up there with everyone else, a big screen slowly descended from the ceiling.

I watched in horror as video of Mike and I snorting cocaine was played. The crowd went silent. People were looking at me in disgust.

"Oh my god! Mike!" I heard myself say on the video.

This was all too much. Not only was a video of me doing drugs up there, but a video of me screwing around too. Everyone already called me a slut. This wasn't helping.

The principal was watching with wide eyes. She ordered for someone to shut off the video, but no one knew how.

Everyone was laughing at me now. Someone started chanting "slut" and it spread. Everyone caught on and soon enough, everyone at the event was chanting it.

My eyes watered up and I ran off the stage. I ran to the back of the building where I leaned against the wall and cried.

***

Carter's POV

Talia and I laughed so hard that our stomachs hurt.

I saw Angel run outside through the back door. I pulled Talia along and we followed Angel.

She was leaning against the wall, balling her eyes out.

"Aw, did little Angel get some karma?" I imitated her crying.

"What's it like? I've never been so exposed before in my life." Talia said with a smirk.

We both laughed.

"Leave me alone. You've done enough." Angel said through sobs. Pathetic.

"Stop being a wuss. Man up. You deserved it." I shot back.

"You will pay for this. Both of you will. I will do whatever it takes." Angel claimed.

Talia and I laughed in her face before walking off.

We found Logan, Chase, and Colin sitting at a table inside.

The principal was giving a speech.

"Whoever did this will be punished accordingly. This is obscene and will not be tolerated." She went on.

After five minutes of talking, she put the mic down and the dance went on.

All of us went onto the dance floor and danced in our little group.

***

Angel's POV

Strong arms wrapped around my waist.

"Angel, baby, please don't cry." Mike cooed.

"I can't take it anymore. I want them to pay." I said.

"We will make them pay. I promise." Mike kissed my forehead and held me close.

How could a night that started out so perfectly end so badly?
