Angel's POV

Ruby found about me being expelled. Mrs. Kraig had called her. She was very upset with me. She raided my room in search of drugs but didn't find any. Mike and I kept our stuff at my old house.

She wasn't sure what to do with me. She banned me from leaving the house. When no one was home, I still went out.

I kept thinking about what I planned for Talia and Carter. This Friday around midnight, Mike and I would go over to Carter's house and get it over with. I knew Carter and Talia always hung out on Friday nights from when I heard them talking about it at school.

Today was Wednesday and I was nervous as hell already. I didn't have these kinds of thoughts before. I was losing my mind.

A lifestyle of drugs and verbal abuse from your peers isn't healthy.

Mike and I spent all evening planning for Friday. We planned the process, cover-up, and alibi.

I knew there was a slim chance of us actually getting away with it. Either way, I would take all the heat.

It was eleven o'clock and I was trying to sneak out to go get some food, but Rick was awake and caught me.

"Angel, come here." He called me into the kitchen.

I entered with my head bent

Rick was wearing his robe over his pajamas with house slippers. He looked funny but I didn't want to point this out just in case I was in trouble.

"Where are you going?" he asked.

"I wanted to get some food." I answered.

"Could you bring me back something? And if you go anywhere else, I will find out."

'How?" I asked.

"Your car has a GPS that can be tracked. I've been meaning to ask you, why do you always go to your old house?"

Busted. I rubbed my hands together and quickly thought of a lie.

"It reminds me of so many memories and I just like being there." I lied.

"Oh, that's cool." Rick grabbed a can of Coke and went back upstairs.

I had lost my appetite. I went upstairs to Mike's room. He was doing his homework in bed.

One of the perks of being expelled is that you don't have homework. Ruby, however, was looking into schools for me. I didn't want to go back to school, though. Everyone would just hate me one way or another

"What's up?" he greeted me.

"Apparently, my car has a GPS that can be tracked. We're going to have to get to Carter's house by foot."

"Does she live far from here?" he asked.

"No. Maybe a ten minute walk." I shrugged.

"But, we would look suspicious walking down the street in all black with a bag." He pointed out.

"Tape the stuff to your stomach then. We don't wear all black. We dress normally. "I resolved our problem.

"That'll work."

"Goodnight." I waved.

"Wait, Angel?"

"Yeah?"

"You trying to smash?" he smirked.

"Not tonight." I laughed and went back to my room.

I lay awake in my bed thinking about Friday. A part of me didn't want to do it in fear of failing again. But, the other half of me told me that I needed this to finish everything. It was my last resort.

If I didn't do it, I could wallow in self-pity and loneliness forever. If I did do it, I risked being sentenced to jail. But again, I didn't have anything to lose or anything to live for, so why not?

I barely slept that night.

Carter's POV

I was studying with Chase at the library. We had an English test tomorrow and we weren't prepared at all.

Chase was easily distracted. It was hard to keep him on track.

"What is mood and tone? And how do they relate to each other?" I quizzed him.

"Well my mood is tired. I don't know about tone." He shrugged.

"Oh, come on!" I rolled my eyes.

"Nah."

I grabbed Chase's keys off the table and disappeared into an aisle.

"Carter! Come back!" I heard him coming after me.

"Come and catch me." I said.

I was about to run away, but Chase tackled me. He slammed my body against the wall and tried to open my hands to retrieve the keys.

"Shh! Children, this is a library." A sassy old woman said.

This woman was skinny and frail. She looked as if you could break her with one touch. Her hair was pulled into a gray bun. Not one strand was loose. Her gray sweater was buttoned at the very top. She wore a black shirt underneath with jeans and black sneakers.

She looked nice, but she seemed mean from her tone.

"Sorry, ma'am." I answered.

Chase was still fumbling with my hands.

"Oh, get a room!" she muttered before walking away.

"Shove it, grandma!" Chase yelled at her.

I pushed Chase off of me and laughed. I dropped his keys on the floor and walked back to collect our things.

Chase followed after me and we left the library.

We said goodbye and went our separate ways.

When I got home, my mom was already asleep. I quietly tip toed to my room.

Before I could turn on the light, someone covered my mouth and pushed me onto my bed.

I tried to fight, but they were stronger than me.

I was scared out of mind. I didn't know who this person was until they kissed me.

"Colin?"

"Yes."

"You scared me." I pushed him off of me and turned on the lamp near my bed.

I relaxed a bit and tried to get my breathing back to normal.

"Let me make it up to you." He smirked.

Colin kissed me and things escalated quickly.

0 to a 100.
