Angel's POV
"So what do you say?" I asked nervously. I had just asked Mike to be my prom date.
"I say yes." He smiled.
I laughed awkwardly. Whew! That was a relief. Prom was next week. I had gotten a dress at the mall the past weekend. The one where Talia thought it would be awesome to throw her drink on me.
Mike and I were still drug buddies. It seemed better if I referred to it like that. Not that drugs were good because they aren't. Don't ever do them. Once you get on, it's hard to get off.
I knew they were slowly killing me. At any point, too much could just make me drop dead, but I still subjected myself to it. I still did it. I was addicted.
Mike and I didn't do our thing at his house anymore. It was too risky. We always went to my old house now. We put a little coffee table in my old bedroom and just had our fun there.
The worst part was the aftermath. The headaches, the coughing, the stomach aches. They were all painful.
Mike randomly kissed me.
"What was that for?" I giggled.
"I don't know." He said nasally.
"Come here." I pulled him towards me and he came.
"What?" He laughed.
"I like you." I giggled.
"I know." He laughed again.
When you are high, you say stupid things. Of course Mike knew I liked him. I don't think he ever told me that he liked me though.
I was there for his enjoyment when he wanted me. Reality had finally sunk in. I didn't care anymore. We basically used each other, but I had little feelings attached to it. My heart fluttered, I got butterflies, and all the other little crazy things that came along with it.
"Mike, I don't want to be me anymore." I whispered.
"Why?" he rubbed my cheek.
"Nothing ever works out for me. I'm a freaking drug addict." I looked up at the ceiling to prevent my tears.
Now, had I been in a normal mental state, I would not have said this out loud. But, I wasn't completely sane and crazy things were coming out my mouth.
"I hate my life," I whispered, "I hate the people that ruined it."

Carter's POV
Chase burst into my room frantically.
I pushed Colin off of me and sat up. He almost fell onto the floor from my bed, but he caught himself just in time.
"Carter, oh my god!" Chase's words were flying out his mouth.
Colin groaned and put his shirt back on, "Chase, you messed up something that could've been great."
"Man, shut up. You get it all the time."
"What happened? Why are you here?" I asked Chase.
"I was looking over the cameras, and Angel has been snorting stuff with some guy at her house." His eyes gleamed.
"We should expose them. No one wants a druggie for prom queen." I smirked.
"Alright, Chase, can you go now? I have unfinished business." Colin pointed at me.
"Anyway, Carter," Chase said my name dramatically, "We should just put this on the projector."
"I like the way you think." I smirked.
