Perrie Edwards had a lot going on in her mind. As she looked for a decent place to sleep, she thought about Danny Jones. She had given him a hard time throughout this process. He mostly deserved it, but she still regretted it. He was one of the first to die, and she'll never forget the scream. She was kidding herself if she thought that she could make it through this without being emotionally scarred. People were dying all around her, and there was less than nothing that she could so about it. She couldn't save people, because she'd risk getting killed herself. But letting people die, in her opinion, was worse than killing them. Seeing the light go out in someone's eyes would have been torture. As Perrie drifted to sleep, Zayn Malik popped into her mind. She wondered how he could do this, how he could kill people. Because he had killed people. She remembered his first kill, Luke Hemmings. He was a young kid, scared out of his mind. He was private and no one really knew anything about him. But Zayn had killed him, and Perrie couldn't have been more proud. Back then, any kill was amazing, because it brought Zayn one step closer to being with her, to being safe. But being here now, she knew that a kill in these Games didn't make you a hero, it made you a coward. It made you a weakling. You killed because you had to, anyone who wanted to kill was sadistic. As Perrie slept, she dreamt of Zayn. She asked him the same question over and over: 'How did you do this?'

Kristen Stewart was angry with herself. She had decided to do the opposite to everyone else, sleep during the day and hunt at night. That gave her a greater opportunity to take out a sleeping tribute. However, being awake when no one else was gave her more time to think. And there was one main topic on her mind: Louis Tomlinson. She knew that she shouldn't be thinking about him, he had dumped her in a cruel way and she would never be able to get over it. But when things were good, they were really good. When they were alone, Louis was the best boyfriend in the world. He would plan special romantic surprises and make her feel loved, as if nothing else mattered. But when they were around other people, everything changed. He was no longer the Louis that she knew and loved, he was the guy that everyone thought they knew. And she couldn't be with that guy. As she thought about him, she failed to notice the figure standing behind her...

"Kris!" a voice whispered. Kristen turned around to see Louis Tomlinson. "Louis, what are you doing here?" she asked, secretly relieved that she had run into him. "I was looking for you. Do you think it's a good idea to be walking around alone at night?" he asked, pulling her into a discreet corner of the woods. "Don't pretend you care" she said, beginning to walk away from him. "Kris, do you honestly think that I don't care about you?" he asked. "Well I don't know. When we're alone you're the perfect guy, but when we're with other people you act like I don't exist" she said, being honest with him for the first time. "I do?" he asked, genuinely confused. She nodded. "At least, that's what it feels like" she allowed. "I'm so sorry, I honestly never knew that you felt that way" he said, taking her hand. "But then you dumped me, so I thought you didn't care" she said, looking him in the eye. "Look, at least one of us is going to die. It's going to happen and we can't get away from it. But why don't we spend these final days together" he said, still holding on to her hand. "And how do I know that you're not only saying this because you're alone?" she asked. He kissed her as a response. "I love you" he whispered against her lips. "I love you too" she replied as he leaned over to kiss her again. But his lips never reached hers as before Kristen knew it, Louis was slumped on the ground. "Louis?" Kristen asked in shock, leaning over him. She saw that he had an arrow sticking out of his back. The tip had hit him where his heart was, killing him. "No!" Kristen screamed, tears streaming down her face.

Perrie Edwards awoke from her sleep to hear people speaking. She was disoriented and had no idea what was going on, until she remembered where she was. In the Hunger Games. "Zayn" she mumbled. He was at the forefront of her mind all the time, especially here. But she could still hear the voices. She turned around, and searched for the voices. She couldn't make out what they were saying, but their voices annoyed here. When you were here, you should hide from the world. Speaking loudly was like asking someone to kill you. Perrie didn't want to be responsible for anyone's death, she wanted to make it through this process completely clean, not having anyone's blood on her hands. As the voices continued, Perrie reached for her bow. Maybe if she could just scare them, then they'd realise that their positions weren't as safe as they obviously assumed they were. She turned towards the people, aimed her arrow and fired. She was aiming for the bushes behind them. However, as she let it go, the man leaned forward, and the arrow hit him. "What, no!" Perrie said quietly, tears threatening to spill from her eyes as his body crumbled to the ground. "No!" the girl screamed, leaning over the boy's body. "I'm sorry" Perrie said, crying, even though she knew that nobody could hear her.
