The six competitors knew that the end was near. It was hard to think about, but soon, there would be a winner, and everyone else would be dead. They were all in different positions. Nathan Sykes and Taylor Lautner were looking to fight. They wanted to win this more than anything and they didn't care who they had to kill to do this. Tom Fletcher, who most viewers had forgotten about, was still around, and still searching for his little sister. He regretted the way he'd treated her and wanted to make things right. He'd never forgive himself if something happened to either of them before they had the chance to see each other again. The biggest alliance group, Demi Lovato, Josh Cuthbert and Carrie Fletcher were contemplating the future. They knew that two of them had to die, and they hated the fact that soon, they'd know who that was.

"I think we should go back to the cornucopia" Demi said suddenly to her allies. Josh and Carrie looked at her as if she was completely crazy. "Why would we do that?" Carrie asked incredulously. "No one else is going to be there, it's where we started. We'll be safe there, trust me. People will be looking for us in the trees, they won't be looking for us there, trust me" Demi reasoned. Josh shrugged, "Whatever you want to do is fine with me" he said, kissing Demi's cheek. Carrie admired the sign of affection. "If it comes down to it, and it was just you two left, what would you do?" she asked them. There was silence for a moment as they thought about that final scene, when they would have to make the biggest choice of their lives. "Josh would kill me" Demi said defiantly with a nod of her head. "No way!" Josh said angrily. "We wouldn't have a choice. I can't walk out of here without you Josh. If that ever happens, you have to kill me, and you have to win for me" she said softly. Josh turned away from her. "Josh, promise me that you won't do anything stupid like kill yourself for me" she said in an urgent voice. Josh shook his head. "I love you Demi, don't you understand that I'd do anything for you?" he asked, taking her hands. "I know" she whispered, hugging him. "On to the cornucopia we go!" Carrie said, ignoring the tension that she had caused. She couldn't keep the end off her mind. She needed to find her brother, before it was too late.

Tom had almost given up. He felt like he had searched the entirety of the forest and hadn't found her. In fact, he hadn't had the opportunity to kill anyone, to make himself look tough. He knew now that, if anyone found him, they'd definitely kill him. But, in a way, as long as he saw Carrie, he didn't care what happened to him. He didn't care if he lived or died, if he won or lost. To be honest, he didn't care about anything. Anything apart from Carrie. His baby sister. He had no idea how he'd find her when he didn't even know where he was, but she was the only think keeping him going. The chance to hug his sister one last time was enough to keep him fighting. But if it came down to it, he'd die for her. If anyone should win, Carrie should.

Nathan and Taylor were feeling more confident than everyone else. Not only did they want to win, but they were the only ones that actually felt like they could. Everyone else was just trying to make it through day-by-day. If anything, they all tried not to think about the end, about the time when the 5 other tributes would be killed. The two remaining career tributes, on the other hand, were different. Nathan in particular, couldn't stop thinking about the end. He wanted this, needed it more than he needed to breathe. Needed this more than he'd ever needed anything in his entire life. And why shouldn't he have it? He was a career tribute after all, way stronger than anyone who was still left in the competition. Taylor also wanted to win, a lot. But he still felt guilty. He had caused so many people to be hurt, so many families to lose a child, a loved one, someone they cared about. They walked in silence, both thinking about how this competition would end. They didn't realise where they were until they ended up at the beginning, back at the cornucopia. They were both too invested in their own thoughts to see what (or rather who) was in front of them. Tom Fletcher. Taylor got out a gun, ready to kill one of the final competitors.
