I pulled on a black and blue striped skirt and a plain blue shirt with a black sweater. I put some black pantyhose on and black flats. I pulled my hair into two loose pigtails and draped them over my shoulders. I put on a bit of makeup and smiled at my reflection.

“Well I only get to the Emperor for the first time once, might as well look for it,” I said while grinning. I grabbed my cell phone and made my way down to the lobby. I saw Ren standing there with who I assumed was his father and the country’s leader. He seemed to be in his mid-thirties. He had short black hair that was brushed neatly. He had lines around nose and mouth. “Good morning, Ren. Hello, Emperor Kobayashi, it’s an honor to finally meet you,” I greeted in Japanese.

“Well, pretty, smart, polite, seems like you picked a wonderful young woman to be your girlfriend,” Mr. Kobayashi smiled. I smiled back at him.

“It’s more like she chose me,” Ren muttered under his breath. I shot him a quick glare before smiling at Mr. Kobayashi.

“Well, would you like to see my home town now?” I asked him. He let out a chuckle.

“Of course, I’d love to go see your home town,” he smiled and led us out of the hotel. We got in a limo and Ren squeezed in next to me, draping his arm over my shoulder.

“Have you told your father about why we’re going?” I whispered.

“No,” he said simply.

“Why not?” I hissed.

“Well I didn’t want him thinking my girlfriend was crazy, you can tell him later,” he said.

“Mr. Kobayashi, you do know why we’re going to America, correct?” I asked. Ren’s grip tightened on shoulder and I glared at him.

“No, my boy just said that you wanted to visit your home town and he invited me to come along,” he said, “Why?”

“Well because I wanted you to see why you haven’t been able to contact America for so long, before I moved here, I heard that Japan and America was supposed to meeting, am I correct sir?” I asked.

“Yes, I suppose you’re correct,” he sighed. “I was really looking forward to meeting your new president,” he pouted. I laughed at his face. He reminded me of a little child.

“Well I don’t think you have much of a chance of meeting him today, he’d never come to our town,” I chuckled darkly.

“You said you lived in a small town, correct?” he asked.

“That is correct, sir,” I smiled.

“Well can I have a hint in what state?” he pleaded.

“Alright, it one of the biggest states in America,” I laughed. “That’s all I’m saying.”

“Alaska? California? Texas? Florida?” he asked. I shook my head and smiled. The vehicle came to a stop and we made our way to a helicopter. I told the pilot where to fly and we were soon flying high in the air. “Fine don’t tell me where!” Mr. Kobayashi shouted at me. He crossed his arms and pouted. I laughed loudly. Ren and his dad were nothing alike. The ride back to America was silent and long so to pass the time, I decided to play Angry Birds for the first time. I watched the cartoon telling me why I’m killing green pigs with colorful birds. Hours went by before someone began shaking my arm roughly. I turned to glare at Ren.

“WHAT?!” I screamed at him. He interrupted my game and made me drop my phone under my seat.

“What the hell are those things?!” he shouted back, pointing at the ground franticly. I looked down and saw that we had gotten a lot closer to the ground, close enough where you can see the undead perfectly but they couldn’t quite grab us.
