CHAPTER 19 ~ Zach's POV

Why is it that we always fight? Are we just so different that we can never agree? All I know is that I am in too far to give up. I am going to fight for her, she needs to know the truth. The note I left for her yesterday couldn't have fit our situation any better.

There's no guarantee that this will be easy. It definitely isn't easy for us considering how much we fight. I'm no angel, I'm just me but I will love you endlessly. And I will.

I enter the school halls, not early but not late. I don't want another repeat of yesterday. I walk over to where my group sits in the morning. Hayden, Axel, Chase, Ace, Ella, Phoebe and Jack are sitting down. Where's Brooke? She is always early.

"Where's Brooke?" I ask them.

"I don't know. Ella, Ash and I just got here," Phoebe informs me so I look at the other guys.

"Some guy came over and asked to talk to her. By the looks of it she didn't want to talk to him but she went anyway," Axel shrugs.

I don't think there is anyone that Brooke doesn't want to talk to. Unless...Mason. Shit.

"I have to go," I quickly rush off to find her. I hear them laughing in the background. Of course they are laughing, they think that I'm jealous that she is talking to some other guy. They are so wrong.

Where would Mason take her to talk? Where in the school is abandoned in the mornings? Classrooms? No, they're locked before classes. Cafeteria? No that's such a public place and Mason would want to be around heaps of people when he talks to her, especially if he is threatening her like I think he might be. Ugh, think Zach. Where in the school is secluded in the mornings?

Classrooms,

Cafeteria,

Gymnasium,

Oval

The hall.

Wait...that's it! THE OVAL!

I run down towards the oval and see two figures talking in the distance. I know it's them. I could notice Brooke's honey blonde hair anywhere.

Okay...what's my plan of attack? I come up from behind, see what he is saying. If he is threatening her then I will stop him. Don't know how but I will find a way.

As I get closer and closer I can't help but think that Brooke will be so angry that I'm doing this.

"You are going to break off whatever you have with that freak or you WILL pay," Mason threatens. Who is the freak? Wait, is it me? Let's hear what she has to say about that.

"Well its's your lucky day, I'm single. I always was but now I am single with no feelings for anyone," she fake laughs trying to make it look as though she doesn't care, I can see through it though. I can hear the sadness behind it and I can hear the pain in her voice.

"Well I guess it is my lucky day then. Now that the freak is no longer in your life, you're mine. You were always mine but he was getting in the way," Mason comments and then the next thing I know they are kissing. But then she shoves him away, he's not going to be happy about that.

"YOU ARE GOING TO DATE ME AND YOU ARE GOING TO MAKE IT LOOK AS THOUGH YOU LOVE ME!" Mason shouts at her.

"No."

"Don't make me hurt poor little Catherine. You wouldn't want that now would you?" Mason says in a calmer tone.

Brooke nods her head after some consideration.
