CHAPTER 29 ~ Zach's POV

"Will you be my girlfriend, Brooke?" I ask Brooke the morning after our date whilst we both stand under a tall tree which is located in the middle of the school's garden.

"Hmmm, let me think..." she says whilst pulling a pretend thinking face, "I'm not really sure."

"Please, you know you want to," I tease as I pull her towards me.

"I wouldn't be so sure about that," Brooke jokes whilst raising a brow.

"You're too funny, Brooke," I tell her with a small smile on my face.

"Oh, I wasn't kidding," she says with a smirk on her face. Wait, is she serious? Surely not, "You look so hot when your concerned and confused."

"You're killing me right now. Is it a yes or a no?"

"Oh course it's a yes, you idiot," Brooke exclaims as she jumps into my arms and kisses me repeatedly, "I can't believe you thought I would actually say no."

"I was sure that you would say yes but then you made me doubt myself. I blame you for that, you're too perfect it makes me wonder what you're doing with me. But then I realise, I'm great," I joke and Brooke laughs along too.

"Bit arrogant, are we?" she says and I nod whilst laughing.

"Please, you couldn't resist me even if you tried."

"I dunno. You wanna test that theory?" she asks, looking up at me with a mischievous look in her eye.

"Go ahead. Try your best," I say as Brooke jumps out of my arms and walks over to a rose bush. Clearly she's trying to ignore me.

"Please, ignoring me and resisting me are two different things," I comment which makes her turn around and raise an eyebrow at me. I raise my eyebrow too and walk towards her.

"I think it's more that you can't resist me," Brooke smirks, she's 100% correct.

"Hmm," I say pretending to think for a moment, "Considering I feel in love with you when I was 10 I guess that has an element of truth to it."

Shock takes over and her mouth drops. She doesn't blink for a moment and it scares me for a brief minute.

"8 years?" she asks, confusion now replacing the shock.

"8 years."

"8?" she asks again, obviously still in shock.

"Yes Brooke, 8 years," I can't help but smile at how cute she is right now.

"But, how? Even when I went through my embarrassing stage?" she asks and I laugh at that.

"Especially through your embarrassing stage. It was adorable," I tell her in all honesty. She was cute then and she's cute now. Nothing's changed really.

"Well, I'll be damned," she mutters to herself, "I guess you're right. I can't resist you, especially when your too sweet."

"I knew you couldn't but that's a good thing because I can't resist you either."

"So, how is everyone?" I ask, looking around the table. Everyone is practically glowing. Phoebe and Ace are holding hands and sneaking glances at one another every two seconds. Ella just looks radiant and so does Chase. Hmm, I'll need to ask the about that. Hayden can't seem to wipe the smile off his face as he stares down at his phone, he's probably texting his girlfriend. Axel is the only one who isn't jumping out of their seat with joy.
