CHAPTER 27 ~ Zach's POV

"You better give her flowers," Ella says with a stern look on her face.

"And make her feel like a princess," Phoebe adds and I try to write all this information down on a notepad.

"And I swear if you don't give her your jacket when she gets cold I will kick you," Ella threatens.

"Do you guys seriously think this low of me?" I ask them, and they look at one another for a second before giving me a cheeky grin. I plan on asking Brooke out. We are too close to give up. I don't intend on wasting anymore time; I'm going to ask her out. Which is why I am sitting at a coffee shop with Ella and Phoebe. I need to know all about the types of things Brooke likes and where she would like to go for a date.

"Anyway, where should I take her?" I ask them.

"That's for you to decide," Phoebe says with a smile.

"Okay, I'll have a think about it," I say and jot some of the ideas I have onto the notepad.

"What's going on with you and Brooke anyway?" Ella asks me.

"I think you know already. What I want to know is when you are going to go out with Chase, we're all waiting," I smirk and she tries to stop herself from blushing.

"Please," Ella says in a sassy tone, "That's not happening."

"I dunno, it didn't seem that way at that beach party we went to," I say and a look of horror crosses her face.

"You didn't see –"

"Uh, yeah, we did," I interrupt with a laugh.

Ella just buries her face in her hands and keeps saying things like 'this can't be happening.'

"Oh, it is happening. We saw," I inform her which makes her frown.

"What are you talking about?" Phoebe asks us.

"NOTHING!" Ella yells.

"Okay so maybe only Brooke and I saw," I say, smirking.

"You need to stop over exaggerating so much, people will get confused," Ella says sheepishly.

"No, I think I'm right," I say, my smug smirk still visible.

"Ugh, just go back to planning your stupid date." Clearly Ella isn't happy.

I have it all planned out. I know exactly what I will be doing with Brooke if she agrees to go out with me. I quite like what I have planned, it's a bit different to what I would normally do but I think it's a good different.

I'm nervous to ask Brooke out but at the same time I'm excited. Finally we might be something more than just friends. For the first time in 8 years she could see me as someone she is dating and not some weird kid who is friends with her friend. It feels like years since fate sent us on rollercoaster that all started at Ace's party all those months ago. I feel like I need to prepare some grand way of asking Brooke out but I think that something much smaller and less public would be what she prefers. Now all I have to do is wait for tomorrow to come and for my chance to ask Brooke out to arise. I'm all set.
