CHAPTER 21 ~ Zach's POV

"I have something to tell you. Don't freak out on me though when I tell you," Reece says looking slightly excited. What could he possibly have to tell me that I would freak out at?

Hmmm...

What could it be?

I've got it. He can't do this. Mum will be distraught. She is still, to this very day, worried about losing anyone else that she loves so this will make her feel like she is losing him also.

"Zach..." he trails off and I can't hold it in.

"You can't move out!" I almost shout but I keep some composure.

"What?" Reece asks looking baffled.

"You can't move out. Imagine how sad mum would be. You know what she's like, she scared to lose us after losing Em."

He shakes his head, "I'm not moving out, Zach. What would make you think I'm moving out?"

"Well what else would I freak out about? That's basically the only thing that I would freak out about," I tell him, confused myself at what's going on.

"Zach, I think I've found someone," he starts telling me what he had to.

"What? Who? I want to meet her! I swear if you are getting back together with Cate, I will kill you," I surprise him with lots questions and threats.

"No, it's not Cate. She is much better than Cate. And you've already met her before."

I tilt my head to the side slightly and stare at him, thinking about all the possible candidates. Who could this girl be? I've met her before. Hmmm. A girl, Reece's age that I've met. That's it! I can't believe this. Just as I've figured it out Reece says the same thing I was thinking.

"Paisley."

"Are you kidding me right now?" I ask just to double check that he is just messing with me.

"No, I'm not kidding."

"But how? When? For how long? Why didn't you tell me sooner?" I continue to bombard him with my question.

"It just sort of happened. I mean she would always check up on me or text me making sure I was alright after everything with Cate. And well it just happened."

"Okay well congrats man," I say, I'm genuinely happy for him. I couldn't think of a better girl for Reece.

"Thanks. Anyway, I have to go pick her up now," he informs me, which brings an idea to my mind.

"Hey, are going to be bringing her here? Like today after you pick her up?" I question and he nods, "Would you mind if I talked to her. Not about you about something else."

"You know you can talk to me about whatever it is," he says and I nod back in response before I form a sentence.

"Yeah but I need a girl's advice," I say and he smirks slightly. Ass. "Anyway, you should get going, don't want to leave Paisley waiting."

And so he does. He grabs his keys and walks straight out the door whilst I rush to my room to think about another gesture to show Brooke that I'm sorry.
