CHAPTER 25 ~ Zach's POV

Things are starting to look up for Brooke and I. After everything that happened during the road trip how could anything go wrong? We arrived home late Sunday night after an amazing long weekend. No one is sure if Ella and Chase are a thing or not after what happened at the party but I guess we will find out.

A week later and there is no new news about Ella and Chase.

Nothing has happened between Brooke and I and I want it to. I'm just worried that she has changed her mind since the road trip. Everything was great, we were finally back to normal, and I worry that after she thought about it that she regrets it. I mean after I accidentally kissed another girl it would be slightly understandable if she was to change her mind, considering everything that happened with Mason.

"You wanna go out tonight?" I ask Chase.

"Nah, I can't. I'm busy," Chase says. He's probably going out with Ella.

"Okay well have fun," I say to him as Ace approaches us.

"Have fun with what?" Ace asks us as he stands next to me.

"I asked Chase if he wanted to go out tonight but Chase is going out with someone else so he can't. Everyone is busy tonight, first Reece and Paisley and now Chase."

"Well, why don't we spy on Reece and Paisley?" Ace suggests.

"Why?" I ask him.

"I dunno, something to do," Ace shrugs and I laugh.

"Alright, I'll see if I can get the details off Reece without raising suspicion," I tell him and he nods, "I'll text you when I know."

"Okay cool," Ace says and we part ways to go to our separate classes.

"Hey Reece," I say as I walk into the lounge room later that night.

"Hey Zach, what's up?"

"Not much, what about you?" I ask him, hoping he will spill. If he doesn't then Ace and I's plans for tonight are ruined.

"I've got a date with Paisley tonight," he tells me.

"Oh really?" he nods, "Where are you going?"

"This restaurant close by, it's near the park we used to go to as kids," Reece tells me and I make a mental note to remember the location.

"Sounds nice, I hope you two have fun," I tell him in all honesty before walking towards my bedroom to text Ace.

They are going to this restaurant near the park we used to go to.

I send the text to Ace and then go to find my parents and make sure they are okay with me going out.

"Can I go out tonight?" I ask them after knocking on the door.

"Sure. It's gonna be an empty house tonight so make sure you take a key," mum tells me and I nod, taking down a mental note not to forget my key.

"Is that so? Where is everyone going?" I ask them.

"Reece is going out with Paisley and your mother and I are going out on a date," dad explains.

After 20 years of marriage they still go out on dates all the time which is sweet if you think about it. It seems like they aren't going anywhere fancy considering dad is wearing jeans and a button down t-shirt and mum is wearing one of her less fancy dresses.
