Chapter 7~

Cathie's POV~

"Where's the Nandos?!"

How could she forget?!

She shrugged "I already told you I was hit in the face."

I rolled my eyes while reaching for my phone, which fell out of my hand when she decided to jump on top of me.

"Oh, how could I forget?" Then in a country accent, clasping my hands together "I just can't resist them Irish accents!"

She slapped me on the arm

"Oh shut up. He was cute!"

She had one of those goofy smiles on her face. The kind that comes without you meaning it to when thinking about that guy that just makes your heart stop, even if you try not to. I personally think it's ridiculous.

I smirked at her.

"Oh really? Well go on, show me a picture of this cute guy, and while your at it tell me his name too.

Her smile faltered

"I didn't get his name, or a picture."

"Well did you get a number?"

I knew the answer when her smile disappeared completely and her lips formed a straight line.

Oh boy. This is so unlike Mae though.. She's usually the more outgoing one.

"Well what did you guys do?"

"We talked. And I- I spit soda on his hoodie."

That made me laugh. I know it's probably a mean thing to do, but I couldn't help it.

After I calmed down and stopped laughing

"Why did you do that?"

"Well, he told me a joke right as I took a big sip of my Mountain Dew and for some reason I found it really funny. Then BAM I'm helping clean my spitty soda off his hoodie, apologizing over and over again."

"What did he do?"

"He helped me and told me it was fine. And we even ended up laughing about it. Then I had to come here because it was late."

I remember that. She kept me waiting and didn't bring me anything as a peace offering! The nerve.

I let out a quick chuckle as I thought.

"Do tell me how you two met!"

She let out a sigh- rather exaggerated.

"Well I was texting you, and walking toward the entrance to Nando's. When all of a sudden something smacked me right in the head and sent me to the ground, crying out Mother of Shorties! As I was rubbing my forehead I found my phone- it survived without harm. When I looked up I saw him. He was wearing sunglasses and a hood on his head. And that's when he apologized and helped me up."

It was the perfect movie moment. He hits her with a door, they realize they are meant to be together. And he whisks her away into the sunset!

"That, that was beautiful!" I wiped a nonexistent tear from my eye.

"Your so dramatic, Cathie!" And she started laughing.

Soon after I began laughing along with her.

After we had calmed down, after several attempts- those failed because every time we looked at each other we would start laughing all over again- she asked me.
