I smiled at the text on my phone, shaking my head as I walked towards the park. I could spot Louis from here, seated at a bench, crouching over his phone. I quickly and quietly ran up behind him and wrapped my arms around his shoulders. He turned his head around to me, kissing my lips momentarily.
"How'd you know it was me?" I laughed and he stood up, pulling me in for a hug.
"I just hoped, otherwise I'd kiss some random person." Louis shrugged and I let him go only to grab his hand.
We swung our arms in sync and I laughed at him, "I wish you would have, it would have been hilarious."
Louis furrowed his eyebrows but laughed as well whilst kissing my hand that held his. We walked closer to the small bridal store and I looked to Louis.
"I know you'll get bored doing this stuff with me, so thank you for coming." I stopped us before we walking inside the store and Louis shrugged.
"It can't be boring with you," he gave me a smile and opened the door for us.
Janice, the older woman who owns the shop, greeted us the moment we walked into the store. "Lilli, you're just the person I need," Janice spoke as she grabbed my hand, pulling me towards the back room.
I gave Louis a shrug once we got to the room and Janices' daughter Karmen was frantically looking around the room.
"Karmen, Lilli is here, she's perfect for it," Janice spoke to her and Karmen looked up at me, smiling.
"Lilli, would you mind doing us a favor-" she stopped mid sentence, looking over at Louis. "This is perfect! Would you both do us a favor?"
"Of course we can, what are we needed for?" I asked, not even getting the answer from Louis.
I mean it's not like we're on a tight schedule today, I've just got to get the bride and bridesmaid dresses for the wedding tomorrow.
Janice fished through a box of tailor materials and I peeked over trying to get an idea of where Louis and I come in. Karmen all of a sudden wrapped measuring tape around Louis' waist and I gave her a crazy look.
"Um Karm, what are you doing?" I questioned trying to calm myself as her hands glided over his legs.
She merely glanced at me before marking something on the tape, "We need to use you two for measurements, you two are literally just like the couple that came in before you."
I nodded at this, realizing and Janice grabbed my arm, gently pulling me into the next room. I waved at Louis before I left him and he smiled at me. Janice got me to pull up my shirt to see the difference between my waist and their customers, which wasn't much. She then got my breast measurements and I was then put into a dress. I looked in the mirror to see it was in fact a wedding dress and I smiled a little.
The dress has a sweetheart neckline, a train, and a ton of lace all over it, it's really pretty though. Janice began to write down some measurements of me in the dress and it went well until I felt a tug on my waist. Janice groaned and I tried to peek around to see but I couldn't see the source of her frustration.
"Okay, hold on Lilli and walk slow with me, my wedding ring is stuck in the dress." We began to waddle towards the door and I saw Louis in a black tuxedo looking really nice, making it hard not to drool. "Karmen, can you come cut this I can't cut well with my left hand."
Karmen looked up from Louis' shoulders and laughed at us, causing Louis to turn around. His face broke out into a smile and I placed my hands under my chin, smiling at him as well.
