When the principal told us the news the huge gigantic news about me being the salutatorian, I could Mike's face dropped because he was now the valedictorian, not me. It did hurt but I wasn't going to ruin my friendship with Mike by getting angry that Mike got the number one spot. "Mike, it's okay," I comforted him and Mike gave me a small smile. "Look, I have to talk to Ryan quickly. Tell Ash, I'll catch up with him later," I told Mike before rushing up to Ryan at his locker. Ryan and I weren't back to being the best of friends because there's too much drama between Ryan and me. Ryan is still on the football team and I didn't want to talk to him when a whole bunch of his teammates is there. I turned around getting ready to go the opposite way when Ryan shocked me. "Luke, wait" Ryan ran up to me. "Ryan," I greeted him and Ryan looked at me with a confused look. "Shouldn't you be getting back to your friends," I told him but Ryan stopped me. "Look, Luke, you are my friend and I don't care about my teammates," Ryan informed and I nodded. We were at my locker and Ryan leaned against the locker next to mine. "Luke, do you want to hang out around mine. I'm sure Marcel miss you" Ryan gave me one of his cheeky smiles. "Okay, I'll see you later today," I told him. I grabbed my books and went to my first class period I had. I was sitting there bored out of mind and then I thought about the fact I had to give a speech in front of my whole class and that was nerve racking to me considering I have no idea how I am going to be able to perform at prom that would be nerve racking to me even more so. At least, if I'm on stage that means I would have Ash, Mike, and heck even Cal to perform up there for me. I was so bored out of my mind and then the bell rang and I rushed out of the classroom because I wanted to be there at Ash locker. We had a competition Ash and me, to see who could get to each other's locker.  Whoever got to each other's locker had to take the other person on a date of their choosing. It kept our relationship fresh and everything that had to with excitement. I rushed to Ash's locker and I found him at his locker with a smirk on his face. I crossed my arms across my chest and Ash just walked around me over and over again tsking. "Shut up," I told him and Ash just shook his head. "It's not fair, your class is closer to your locker. Tomorrow let's see who win getting to my locker" I leaned against his locker in which Ash stood in front of me. "Are you going to kiss me or what," I whispered to Ash and Ash still held that smirk on his face. "I would love too" Ash leaned and placed his lips on mine and I kissed him back. As the kiss progress, I felt our tongues fighting for dominance. I heard a cough and Ash and me pulled away from each other. We both were breathing heavily and there stood Cal and Mike. "Um hey guys" Cal rubbed the back of his neck and I felt my cheeks were red. It was always great kissing Ash. "Hey" I stated while I looked over at Ash, he was smirking while leaning against his locker. I knew my lips were swollen from kissing from Ash. "Yeah, hey" Ash couldn't take off that smirk. "It seems you two were having the time of your life" Mike commented to me and Ash. Ash just nodded and said yup. "Luke is amazing kisser" I heard Ash tell Cal and Mike. I punched his shoulder. "Shut up," I commanded him and Ash just rolled his eyes. "Accept the truth Lukey," Ash gave me one huge smile on his face and I couldn't help but smile back at him. The next couple of hours of school was pretty usual or pretty boring except when it came to lunch. Perrie and Ryan were a part of our lunch table now. Sometimes Ryan sits with the footballers but he is still one of them even though he told them to knock off the bullying against Mike or heck even me. I ate a little today and I think Mike, Ash, and even Cal were proud of me.  I don't know why because I knew they wanted me to eat my whole meal but I couldn't bring myself. I still wanted or needed control over my life. When I didn't eat, it gave me a sense control over my body. I guess because I didn't have control over what Andrew Bridges did or maybe it was the fact my parents were never home which shocked me because when I came home, my mom was sitting on the couch drinking hot chocolate. "Hey mom" I greeted her and she got up from the couch. "How was work," I asked and she just smiled at me before hugging me tightly. "Okay, you want to hang out today," She asked me and I just stared at her with a small smile. I could see that she was trying. Her phone rang and I saw her smile turned to a frown and she turned to me. "Sorry hunny, it turns out your father needs me in America" My mom rushed upstairs to get her bag that was yet unpacked. I looked at the ground and watched her leave out the front door. I looked around the house. I was home alone, Cal was with Mike and Ash was working at the music store. Ben and Jack was at their own apartments. I was bored and I walked into the kitchen. I felt tears go down my cheek. Why did I get my hopes up that my mom wanted to hang out with me? That was a lie. I rushed to the cupboard and tore open multiple bags of chips and I stuffed them into my mouth. I looked around the counter, bags after bags empty. I felt disgusted with myself and I rushed to my bathroom. I locked the bathroom and kneeled in front of the toilet putting my finger down my throat causing the food to go up. I brushed my teeth and I put away the wrappers of all the fatty food that I binged on. I didn't want anyone to know.
