I just held onto Ash while he sobbed his eyes out and I didn't know what to do but hugged him tight. "i am so sorry" I whispered to him while I got him some tea. "What am I supposed to do" Ash asked me and for the first time since I knew Ash Irwin, he looked absolutely defeated and I didn't know what do. "Here drink some tea, everything is going to be okay" I sat down next to Ash and Ash was quiet for a few moments. "Mike" Ash looked up at me with his puffy, red eyes. "Yeah Ash" I replied to him and Ash just shook his head at me. "Was it my fault" Ash asked me quietly and I shook my head. "Not even close Ash. Listen to me, Alex chose to be apart of that gang" I informed Ash and Ash just shook his head at my response. "How in the world am I supposed to look his mother in her eyes. She already lost Jesse now Alex" Ash stated to me and I just sighed. "She won't blame you" I informed him and Ash just shook his head. "I feel like I should be crying my eyes out but I just don't feel anything. Why don't I feel anything" Ash faced me once again and I opened my mouth and closed it shut. "Everybody handles grief differently Ash. You should know that" I told him with a sad smile on my face. Ash just shook his head and got up from the couch. I sighed and I saw my dad opening the front door. "Dad" I greeted him and my dad gave me a small smile. "How's Ash holding up" Dad asked me and I shook my head while we both leaned against the kitchen counter. "I don't know how to help him" I sighed and shook my head. "You doing everything you can Mike by being there for him" Dad put his hands on my shoulders. "Maybe Ash needs Luke" I commented to my dad. "He miss Luke and maybe his boyfriend could do something" I suggested to my father and my dad shook his head. "Luke is in rehab trying to get himself back together from an eating disorder. I don't think right now luke needs to take more on" Dad stated to me and I sighed. "Ash barely been sleeping ever since Luke was sent to rehab and dad you know how much Ash wants to know how Luke been doing" I crossed my arms while sighing at him. "Okay, take him to see Luke" Dad told me while going upstairs probably to his bedroom. Right then in that moment, Ash walked out of the bathroom. I just stared at Ash and Ash sighed while rubbing his hands together. "Come on" I told him and Ash followed me out of my house. "Where we going" Ash asked me and I just shrugged my shoulders. Ash sighed for the 10th time but he got in my car nonetheless. I started driving and Ash was busy staring outside of the window. I couldn't help but feel tremendously bad and had a sense of pity for Ash. In just two months, Ash lost two of his friends and his boyfriend was in rehab. I just kept on focusing on the road and after about two hours of driving, Ash finally said something. "Where in the world are we going Mike. You not kidnapping me" Ash tried to make a joke but the joke didn't work because in his eyes you could see the pain behind them. "Trust me you going to love it" I smiled at Ash and Ash just nodded before staring out the window. It went back to being silent and I just kept driving. I finally got to the destination and I looked over at Ash. He was fast asleep and I didn't want to wake him up but I wanted him to get a chance to see Luke. I shook Ash and he wiped his eyes before stretching out. "We here" I announced to Ash and Ash was staring at the building before turning towards me with shock. "No way" Ash was smiling a little bit. "Yeah well you deserve to get to see Luke" I shrugged my shoulders and Ash hugged me tight. Ash and I walked into the building and I recognized this girl. "Hey Lucy" I greeted her and Lucy's had one of the biggest smile on her face. "Mikey" Lucy pulled me in a hug. "So, how's Luke" I asked her and Lucy just smiled at me a bit. "From what I can tell, he really is opening up in therapy group and individual" Lucy told me while Ash and me walked with her to where Luke was hanging out. "I see you doing well" Lucy commented to me and I shrugged my shoulders. "Yeah well, I can't exactly fall to pieces, I have a boyfriend whom I love" I told her and Lucy stopped us and just stared at me with her hands covering her mouth. "No way, what's his name? What is he like?" Lucy rapid fire questions and I rolled my eyes at her. "His name is Calum but we call him Cal" I told her while messing with jacket. "Wow, I can't believe it. Mr. Single actually found someone he cared about enough to be in a relationship with" Lucy smiled at me and once again I rolled my eyes at her. "Um, guys, I'm here too" Ash mentioned and I turned around. "Lucy this is Ash, Luke's boyfriend and Ash this Lucy my friend here" I introduced them to each other. "Nice to meet you Ash, Luke talks about you a lot" Lucy smiled at Ash and Ash just smiled back. "It's nice to meet you too Lucy" Ash stated to her and Lucy just sighed and went back to her desk. Luke saw us and ran up to Ash hugging him tight before hugging me. "I missed you guys. It's so boring here" Luke complained to us and I rolled my eyes. "It's not that bad" I told him and Luke just shook his head. "You do realize this was my rehab that I went to get better" I informed Luke and Luke just stared at me with shock. "I'm going to go to the bathroom" Ash got up from the seat and Luke just pouted at me. "What happened to Ash" Luke asked me and I sighed. "There was a lockdown at the hospital and Alex got shot. He died Luke" I told him the truth and Luke covered his mouth. "Ash is not handling it and Luke you and Ash get along the most" I told Luke and Luke just nodded. "Okay thanks for letting me know" Luke gave me a small smile. "I'll leave you and Ash to talk without me being the third wheel" I hugged Luke once again before leaving Ash and Luke all by themselves.
