I looked at myself in the mirror carefully putting on my tux. Tonight was officially prom night which I was not going to lie but I was sort of excited to go to prom especially with Cal. There was no doubt in my mind that Cal was going to look absolutely breathtaking. I moved around in my tux and my bedroom door opened and my dad just smiled at me. I just looked at him and he came and fixed my tie. "Thanks" I smiled at him and dad just nodded. "You look amazing" Dad stated to me and I rolled my eyes at him. "Thanks but you have to say that you're my father" I crossed my arms and dad just shook his head. "No I don't I could have easily said that you looked terrible. I mean fathers are supposed to be honest with their kids that's why you never believe in Santa" Dad was now leaning against the door. "That is not why I stopped believing in Santa" I faced him while adjusting my hair a little bit. "I stopped believing in Santa when I was seven when Andrew started hurting me" I didn't want to face my father when I stated that. Dad just sighed before making me turn to face. I didn't care about what Andrew did to me, I felt free, free to be myself, free to do whatever I pleased. "Mike I am so sorry" Dad apologized to me and I rolled my eyes at him causing him to smile at me. "Forget dad nothing can hurt me anymore" I smiled at him before rushing out of my room and rushing downstairs. I grabbed an apple and biting it before putting it back down on the counter. Dad shook his head before throwing the apple in the trash. "I'm going to go, I have to pick up Cal" I told him before kissing my father's cheek and I saw the surprise on my father's face. "What was that for" Dad asked me and I just smiled at him before responding to him. "For being an amazing father and being there for me" I hugged my father before grabbing my car keys. My dad had one of the hugest smile and it made me feel great that my dad was smiling considering he was one who didn't really enjoy. "I mean dad without you, I would have fallen apart so thank you" I told him before going to the front door. "You go have fun and have the time of your life. Don't drink to much and be safe" Dad told me before shutting the front door in my face. I just shook my head but I felt that I had a smile placed on my face and it felt great. I hopped into my front seat of my car and I drove to Cal's house which technically was Luke's house and has been for awhile now. It turns out that Luke's parents absolutely adore Cal and Cal seems to be getting along with Jack and Ben, Luke's brothers. I knocked on the door with my left hand and my right hand was filled with flowers. Luke answered the door and I had admit he looked amazing in that simple yet classic black tux. Ash would be drooling his head off. "He should be ready in 5 minutes" Luke told me and I nodded while sitting on Luke's couch awkwardly. I saw Cal walking down the stairs wearing a nice shade of blue and Cal smiled hugely at me and I couldn't help but smile hugely. I stared at Luke and Luke gave me a thumbs up and I gave Cal the flowers and he smiled at me.  "Wow Mikey you really do clean up" Cal nudged me and I rolled my eyes. "It's what you wanted right" I smiled at him and Cal looked at me strange. "What" I turned towards Luke and Luke shook his head. "You smiling" Luke pointed out to me. "So, now it strange that I want to smile" I crossed my arms while crossing my arms. "No it's just strange because I have never seen you smile this much" Luke told me and I just plopped myself down. I think that we all planned to go to prom together meaning that we would enter at together. I heard the doorbell ring and Luke was practically rushing to front door and I just shook my head at how excited how Luke was to see Ash. He was acting like he hasn't seen the guy in years but he has so I don't know why he was so attached to Ash but it was kind of cute considering at the beginnning of the year Luke was quiet and kept his head down. Ash came waltzing in but with two other people. One of them I recognized as Alex Rocker aka the brother of Jesse Rocker, Ash's best friend and the other was Perrie Edwards. She looked absolutely beautiful in that dress and I couldn't but gush at her. "Alex" I greeted him and Alex smiled a little bit at me. He had a nice black tux with a bowtie. I bet Zayn regrets leaving and never dating Perrie. "Say hi to my date to prom" Perrie gushed while wrapping her arms around Alex and Alex looked embarrassed. "Welcome to our lovely prom group" I stated to him and grabbed his hand shaking it. "You look amazing by the way" I winked at him before Cal crossed his arms glaring at me and I winked at him in response. Cal shook his head. "I figured Alex needed to go to prom" Ash shook my hand and we did our own handshake. It's weird because Luke and I have a different handshake compared to Ash and mine. We was all about to load the limo when Luke stopped us while still holding onto Ash's hand. "We don't have a name for our band" Luke mentioned and I thought about it. "5 Seconds of Summer" I plopped into the limo and I didn't hear any objection from anybody so the band was called 5 Seconds of Summer. Luke was practically sitting on Ash's lap and Cal head was placed on my shoulder. I noticed that he was coughing and I saw something that I never saw before and I knew that Luke wasn't shocked at all because he lived with Cal and probably Ben helped him with his medicine. Cal leaned his head back and I just stared at him. Cal gave me a small smile, "I'm okay" Cal whispered to me. We got to the amazing venue that I said was amazing. I grabbed Cal's hand while we got along with Lashton and Perrie and Alex. We entered and I saw Ryan was talking to none other Jade Thirwall. Ryan walked right up to us and Jade just looked down at her feet. "You look beautiful" I commented to Jade and Jade looked shocked. "Thank you purging Mikey" She said to me and quickly covered her mouth in shock. "I didn't mean it. I am sorry" Jade was shaking and I shook my head. I grabbed her hands and she just looked at me. I stared at her directly in her eyes. "It's okay" I kissed her cheek before grabbing Cal's hand. "I need to go to the bathroom" Cal whispered to me and I took his hand and we went into the bathroom and started coughing up in the sink and I looked over and I wished I hadn't but I just had to. It was blood coming out. I wish I could not see that but I should be able to handle this and I knew that Luke could but why couldn't I.
