I looked at Luke he was different, he held a smile on his face and I just couldn't help but smile at the thought that Luke Hemmings looked incredibly beautiful with a smile on his face. I think Luke wasn't scared anymore. I'm not really scared anymore i think but I am terrified of the fact that I would have to see Andrew Bridges in court. There's still a chance that he could get off but Mike doesn't think that's possible. The bell rang and I grabbed Luke's hand. I saw Perrie by her locker and Luke just nodded at me to go talk to Perrie. I smiled at him before walking up to her. "Hey Pez" I greeted her and she hugged me tight. "I missed you Ash. I thought you wasn't coming back to school" Perrie stated to me and I shrugged my shoulders. "I'm not running away and plus I love this school. It has everything I need or want" I looked over at Luke he was smiling and waving at me. Perrie just nudged me with a sly smile placed on her face. "So you and Luke Hemmings huh" She pointed out to me. "I like him Perrie. Actually I like him a lot" I turned to face with a smile on my face. "I can just tell. You're different Ash and I kind of like this Ashton Irwin. The old you starting to come back" Perrie grabbed my arm gently and I shook my head. "Perrie I don't think I will ever be the guy I was in middle school or even the guy during freshman" I honestly told her and she just shrugged her shoulders. "You're right but you will be the better version of yourself" Perrie stated to me while I just give her a small smile. "I have a job now. Did i not tell you" I informed her and her eyes were wide open with shock. "No way where do you work" Perrie had her eyes wide and she was bouncing up and down with a huge smile on her face. "I work at the music store" I told her while we walked away to where Luke was located. He smiled at us and I grabbed his hand with mine and I smiled hugely at him. "Ash you off your crutches" Perrie pointed out to me and I just nodded. "Yup" I shrugged my shoulders. "I miss you being at practice Ash" Perrie stopped all of us and stood in front of me and Luke. Perry arms were crossed her chest. "Look Pez i never really liked cheerleading. I just joined to try to get scholarships but that's not possible." I shrugged my shoulders. "You still have a chance to get a scholarship" Perrie told me and I shook my head. "You do" Luke now chimed in and Perrie eyes were wide. Luke was now talking more. Luke just smiled at Perrie and Perrie grabbed Luke and pulled him into a hug. Luke looked confused as what. I just shook my head at Perrie and Luke. "She's a hugger" I simply stated to Luke and Luke slowly started hugging her back with a small smile on her face. Pez finally let go of Luke and she clapped her hand on my shoulder. "You guys are seriously cute" Pez commented to us. I shook my head. "You going to sit with us" I asked her and Pez just shook her head no. "Why not" I asked her. "I have to go to a student council meeting" Pez stated to us. I looked at Luke and his eyes went wide. "I'm in student council" Luke mentioned to Perrie and Perrie just grabbed his hand pulling Luke away from me. I sighed before shaking my head. I started walking to my locker now and I bumped into Ryan. He just rubbed the back of his neck. "So" He said to me. I looked at him. "So" I continued to state to him. "This is beyond awkward" Ryan stated and I nodded because it was Ryan was Luke's best friend and now me and Luke are something and not to mention Ryan and I used to date. Can you say awkward. I'm not 100 percent what we are yet but I know I wouldn't want to do anything to jeopardize anything with him. I never felt this way about anyone before and it kind of scares the heck out of me. "Yeah it is" I finally responded to him. "I'm happy you and Luke, and Mike and Calum is back in school." Ryan looked down at his feet and I just stared at him. "Ryan" I called out his name causing him to look back up at me. "I never said thank you" I told him and he tilted his head at me. "For sticking up for me to your parents" I told him and I sighed leaning against set of lockers with Ryan sitting next to me on the floor. We probably should have head off to lunch. I felt Ryan put his head on my shoulder. "No problem Ashton" He whispered to me. "It's just Ash now" I whispered back to him. I was getting ready to meet the one and only Ryan Swan parents. I hope they like me. I know it might be like the Notebook but hopefully it's not. We all know how that story ended. I fixed my jacket up while I walked up to the huge house with a sense of nerves building up in me. I looked at my car in embarrassment. I still had a chance to back out right now. I could leave right now and I said I was so sick that I couldn't visit his parents. But the door opened and there stood a guy that I'm assuming it was none other than Ryan's butler. "You must be Ashton Irwin, Ryan's friend" The butler told me while glancing down at my clothes and I felt a little bit ashamed of my outfit. I picked the best outfit I could find. "Well don't stand outside" I heard Ryan say to me and I walked inside the big house and Ryan grabbed my hands before taking me somewhere probably his bedroom. We sat on his bed and we started making out before a knock. The door opened with a maid coming into the room. "You must be Ryan's 'friend'" The maid said while smiling and winking. "Thanks Stella" Ryan rolled his eyes. "Dinner is ready and Ashton good luck" She urged us out of the room and I looked at Ryan. "Ignore her" Ryan suggested and I nodded. We walked downstairs and I sat at the table seeing Mr. and Mrs. Swan sitting at the table with fancy clothes on. The chief and the butler was bringing out the food. "So Ashton tell me where do you live" Mrs. Swan started in and I looked down at my plate. "I live in the south" I told her and her eyes went wide. "That's enough mom" Ryan stepped in while grabbing my hand underneath the table. I just gave him a small smile. After that we all was eating dinner and then it was time for dessert. It was amazing chocolate cake. After the plate was put down in front of me, I smiled at the butler. "Thank you" I told him and he actually let out a smile. "You're very welcome sir" He walked away into the kitchen. Ryan and his parents went into the kitchen, his parents were insulting me saying I was at the bottom of the food chain. I kept picking at my food while looking down trying to not cry but it really did hurt. All three of them came out of the kitchen, Mr and Mrs. Swan looked at me. "I think it's time for you to leave" Mrs. Swan stated to me and I grabbed my coat before getting ready to leave. Ryan grabbed my arm, "You don't have to leave Ashton." "I should go I have lot of homework" I kissed Ryan's cheek before hopping in my car. I drove home with tears going down my cheeks. I looked at Ryan and Ryan just sighed. "I'm sorry, I didn't know you heard my parents insulting you" Ryan commented to me and I waved him off acting like it was no big deal back then it was to me but now I don't care what anyone else think. "I'm glad I got to know you Ryan because you are certainly amazing and you'll find a guy in no time" I gave him a smile before hopping off the floor grabbing his hands. I walked into cafeteria and everybody in their was staring at me. I found Mike and Cal sitting at the table laughing and joking. I didn't want to interrupt but I did anyway. I plopped down next to Cal. "Where's Luke" Mike asked me and I just smiled at him. "He had a student council meeting today" I informed my two mates.
