"Yea. Why?"

"He asked me out today and I'm not sure if I should you know....go."

Our waiter led us to our booth and Rose took the seat directly next to me instead of across.

"Bryson." She whined resting her head on my shoulder

"What are you asking me?"

"You said you knew him so how is he?"

"He's nice." I said plainly

"The truth please." She stared into my phone as I scrolled down Instagram

"He's a player Rose."

"So I shouldn't go out with him?"

"What did you take from what I just said?"

"That he's a player but I'm sure I can change him. I'm a good girl." She beamed with confidence

"Hi I'm Tay. I'll be your server today. Can I start you off with anything to drink?"

Thank god the waiter came because Rose was jumping into something that almost every girl on our grade went through. The Tory Lane.

"Can I have a strawberry lemonade?" She smiled

"Sprite." I gave a head nod before turning back to my phone

"I like his tattoos. You should get some." She looked over my naked fingers before pulling up my jacket sleeve

"What are you looking for?" I asked

"Tattoos." She answered looking up at my neck

"I don't have any."

"You should get some. You'd look great." She looked up at me before returning to my phone

"Your super nosey." I commented locking my phone

"Sorry." She laughed sliding to the other side of the booth

"I didn't say move." I smiled

She shot one back before looking up at the waiter set down her drink. She cheesed big showing her pink braces.

"Thanks."

"You guys ready to order or do you need more time?"

"We didn't even open our menus. A little more time please." She laugh opening her menu

He nodded before walking off. She slurped on her drink as she ran through the pages.

"You got it?" She looked up at me

"Nah." I didn't even open my menu, I always got the same thing here

She waved him back over.

"Ready to order?"

"Yea. Can I have a grand slam make that two."

He jotted something down.

"Eggs scrambled. One with bacon the other with sausage." She added with a smile

He nodded before leaving.

"Why are you so closed in?" She asked

"I don't have much to tell. I'm not interesting." I laughed

"That's the second time you've lied tonight. You have tons to tell. It's written all over your face. Tell me about your life and your problems. You know don't be so plain." She smiled lightly

"Why do you care? It's not like your my girlfriend."

"I don't want to be your girlfriend." She retorted taking a sip of her drink

"Then stop trying to get in my head. Save that shit for when you become Tory's new jump off."

She seemed took back by my words. She scooted against the wall and tucked her knees into her chest resting her head on her knees. She pulled out her phone typing away. She glanced at me every few minutes. I knew I'd hurt her feelings.

Once the food came she sat up, took a picture, and ate looking at her plate 24/7. She only looked away when she was going for a drink. She glanced up at me once but when she saw I'd caught her she returned back to her plate.

"Everything fine here?" The waiter came back around a few minutes later

"Check please."

He took the check from his pocket and handed it to me before walking away. I took my wallet from my pocket and set a 20 on the table.

"Thanks." Rose somewhat growled as she walked away from the booth to the door

I noticed she'd left her half of the check on the table by her plate.

"This girl."
