15: Blanket Fort

Jade's P.O.V
I punched the bag hardly making the chain creak. I had a nightmare about Loki. He doesn't deserve the title of father. I kicked the bag and punched it multiple times with anger. My mom was still out there and she was alive. I wanted to feel safe in her arms again. I missed her. I punched the bag again and started feeling tears form in my eyes as I thought more about the past. I missed Razor. I missed Alison. I even missed the old Adam. The one that took care of me when I was little. He read me stories when I was 5. He let me work on songs with him. He let me barrow money for clothes. He was my best friend. I punched the bag harder pretending it was Loki's face.
"You okay?" I heard someone asked just as I gave the bag a final punch and it flew off of its chain. I turned and saw Steve standing at the door of the training room entrance.
"No. I'm far from okay" I said as I moved to the second bag and started punching it.
"Jade, you know you can talk to me. I'm done with lying to you" he said as he walked over and grabbed my hands to keep me from punching the bag, "have you been crying?"
"What? Never seen an assassin cry?" I asked smiling.
"Not you" he said. I didn't reply. I just hugged him. I didn't really expect myself to do that.
"Steve? I want to try to use my powers that I haven't used in years" I said.
"Okay. What powers are these?" He asked.
"I can change my appearance" I said as I let go of the hug.
"Show me" he said with a smile. I changed my appearance to what I looked like when I was 3. I opened my eyes and stared up at Steve.
"Holy crap you're tall!" I said smiling.
"That's pretty cool" he said as I used my powers again to change myself into what I remembered of my mother's appearance. I was almost as tall as Steve but I was still short.
"Beautiful, huh?" I asked.
"Who's this?" He asked looking at me.
"My mother. Or at least what I remember of her" I said. My raven hair was longer and I had greenish blue eyes.
"She was very beautiful" he said smiling as I changed back to my normal self.
"Yeah and a god fell in love with her" I said kicking the fallen punching bag.
"Jade it seems you have a visitor" JARVIS said.
"Who?" I asked.
"JADE!" I heard a little girls voice yell as I ran out to see Alison running toward me. I ran toward her and hugged her tightly. She started crying as she buried her face in my shoulder. Steve came running out of the training room and smiled at Alison. I held her shoulders at arms length and looked at her face. She had dirt on her face and a bruise on her arm.
"Who took you?" I asked.
"His name was Loki" Alison said.
"I'll kill him!" I said angrily standing up, "but at least your safe."
"Mr America? Can I have a DNA test run on my parents?" Alison asked smiling.
"Sure. I bet Bruce is still in the lab" Steve said as the three of us made our way to the elevator. I pushed the button for the lab and the elevator started moving. We arrived to the floor and walked into the lab. Luckily, Bruce Banner was still in the lab working on his research.
"Dr Banner? I need a DNA test run on Alison" Steve said as I grabbed a container.
"Spit" I said holding out the container toward Alison and she spit into the container. I handed it to Dr Banner and he started running test. Moments later I heard a small THUD! Bruce dropped his pencil.
"Uh did Alison ever tell you about her dad?" Bruce asked.
"No, why?" I asked.
"Uh well her dad is... Tony Stark" Bruce said as we all looked at Alison.
"I wanted to make sure it was correct" Alison said.
"Alison Maria Stark" Bruce said crossing his arms, "Tony told me that one of his dates resulted in a pregnancy. You must've been that outcome."
"And here I am" Alison said.
"After all these years I've been looking after an Avenger's daughter" I said.
"I knew there was something similar to you and Stark" Steve said smiling.
"Who's gonna tell him?" Alison asked raising her eyebrow.
"Who's gonna tell who what?" asked a voice making us turn and look as Tony entered the lab.
"Well... Let's not talk about it" Bruce said trying to avoid the conversation as I pushed Alison out of the room and I followed behind her. I walked her to the elevator and pushed the button for my floor.
"What did Loki do?" I asked as the doors closed.
"He locked me in this room at some old cabin. But then I remember I had your teleport clicker thing" She said smiling.
"I knew that would come in handy one day" I said smiling as the doors opened again and we walked out of the elevator and started walking towards my bedroom. I decided to do something we haven't done in years. I made a blanket fort for us. I filled it with pillows and blankets and we had a perfect view of the TV.
"JARIVS?" I asked.
"Yes, Jade?" JARIVS asked making Alison jump, "sorry if I frightened you Mrs Stark. I am your father's A.I system."
"Uh hi" Alison said.
"Hello. What did you need, Jade?" JARIVS asked.
"Can you turn on Frozen?" I asked. Frozen was Alison's favorite Disney movie.
"Of course" JARIVS said turning on the film and it started with previews.
"Popcorn?" I asked JARIVS.
"Coming up" JARIVS said.
"That is so cool!" Alison said smiling widely as she fixed the pajama shirt I gave her. Well it was Uncle Thor's sweater. We heard the door opened and we waited for whoever who would enter. The blanket that we used as a door was pulled back and there stood Natasha and Clint.
"You two made a fort without me!" Clint said.
"Sorry" I said as Clint crawled in and sat down beside me, "oh! Alison this is Clint and Natasha."
"Hi" Alison said with an awkward wave. Natasha smiled and crawled over to Alison. Clint shut the blanket door and we all continued to watch the movie together. Half way into the start, Steve joined us. Even Johnny joined us as well. It was pretty funny. Alison ended up falling asleep on Johnny. On Johnny Storm! He just smiled widely and let her sleep. It was pretty cute. I guess during a sad part my emotions caused my powers to activate and I changed my form into a child. It would wear off by tomorrow. But when it's by accident I can't change it back for maybe an hour or two. So I was stuck as a 4 year old girl at the moment. Clint couldn't help but laugh when Johnny pulled me closer to him and squeezed me and Alison into a hug. Alison was 10 so I was much smaller than she was. I ended up falling asleep on Natasha's lap. I guess she likes it when I change forms because she hugged me really tightly. Johnny fell asleep also with Alison tucked under his muscular arm. I bet they'll be best friends. Steve also fell asleep hugging a pillow. Clint fell asleep near me and Natasha. During when Elsa was singing Let it go, I made a snowflake in my hand and blew it towards Steve. It landed on his nose! It was really funny.
