27: Dress Shopping and Stuck

So today Nat and Emma were taking us dress shopping for prom. Arianna was excited about going to prom. Me and Thea... Not so much. Emma rushed over to the red dresses and I ran over and moved her away from them. I'm not that much of a red fan. Emma smiled before getting an idea and she ran off. Thea was looking through the purple dresses. Arianna was looking through the blue. Nat was helping Thea and Arianna as I felt someone push me into a dressing room with a dress. "Try this one!" Emma said closing the door. I looked at the dress before changing into it.
"Come on! Let's see it!" Nat said. I opened the door and Emma smiled at her choice. I felt stupid in this dress. But something about it made me seem different. I stared into the mirror and smiled. For once I actually liked a dress. I nodded to Emma basically saying that this was the one. I really liked it. Thea and Arianna found their dresses which will remain a surprise until prom night. They won't tell me what they got! I walked into the elevator with the girls and they dropped me off at my floor. I walked into the room and saw Johnny and Steve sitting on the couch. Were they waiting?
"Hey Jade!" Johnny said.
"Oh no" I whispered.
"Come sit over here" Steve said patting the seat in between the two heroes. I took a deep breath before sitting my bag down and walked over to the boys. I sat down in between them and I felt like this was a war of some sort. At the same time they both put their arms around me. I felt my cheeks heat up as Johnny sent Steve a hateful glare. Steve sent the same glare his way. I stood up quickly and speed walked to my room to get away from the awkwardness. I closed the door behind me and nearly screamed when I saw Peter standing on my balcony.
"Oh no no no no" I mumbled walking over to his, "what are you doing here?"
"I came to see my girl" he said kissing my cheek.
"I am soooo dead" I said as I heard footsteps coming down the hallway. I turned towards Peter and pushed him back towards the balcony, "I'll text you." I gave him a quick kiss before he swung away. I backed away from the balcony only to bump into something hard. I turned to see Steve.
"Hey" he said, "everything okay?"
"Yeah everything is fine" I said as he pulled me towards him. And wrapped his arms around my small frame. I had no choice. I wrapped my arms around his torso and hugged him. I buried my face in his warm chest and just kind of stood there. Cross Peter off my list. It's between the two look alike heroes. They could use that for an advantage in this. I'm making it sound like a game! That is so stupid. I couldn't help but feel comfortable in Steve's arms. I hummed softly as I felt myself grow tired. I like his and Johnny's hugs. I couldn't help but want to fall asleep.
"I'm tired" I mumbled into his chest as I listened to his heart beat.
"Okay. How about tomorrow I'll make you breakfast?" He asked.
"That sounds good" I said as he kissed my forehead before walking out of the room. I took off my shoes just as a certain flame brain began running into the room, "Johnny!"
He didn't say anything but tackle me onto the bed with excitement.
"Hello sweetheart" he said smiling.
"Hi Johnny" I said as he pulled me close to him and used his body heat to keep me warm. I felt myself grow tired and soon I felt myself falling asleep. I jolted awake realizing what was happening.
"Nope!" I said getting up off the bed.
"What?" He asked.
"You and Steve! Why are you fighting over me?" I asked wishing I kept my mouth shut.
"Cause we like you" Johnny said as if it were obvious. I rubbed my hand down my face and groaned loudly.
"I just need some time alone right now. Is that okay? Can I have some time?" I asked looking at him.
"Sure sweetheart" he said getting up and kissing my cheek, "that's fine." He left the room and closed the door behind him. I fell down onto my bed and laid there for awhile. I thought about Peter, Steve and Johnny. I liked Steve and Johnny. Peter is my best friend. Steve has his moments but he's lovable. Johnny can be rude and cocky but yet other times he can be such a gentleman. Steve is awkward and loving. Johnny is straight to the point and gets what he wants. It's hard to decide on who I like. I guess I'm stuck in a big sticky situation.
