24: Story

Through the day at school everything went okay. Peter met Arianna and Thea at lunch. I was so tired when the bell rang. I ran outside to see Steve standing next to a car from SHIELD. I ran up and hugged him. "Please don't make me go back" I said looking up at him.
"You have too" he said smiling, "how was your day?"
"It was okay. It was boring. Stupid teacher gave us something called homework. Why can't Bruce teach me?! I don't need to learn this crap!" I whined.
"Stop whining" Steve said opening the passenger side of the car. I took off my bag and threw it into the back. I then climbed into the seat and Steve shut the door. I looked over at the school to see Peter walking out with skateboard in hand. He waved to me and I waved back. Steve climbed into the drivers side.
"Can I meet you back at the tower?" I asked smiling.
"Why?" He asked looking out my window seeing Peter who looked like he was waiting for me.
"I'm gonna go hang out with a friend" I said.
"You have homework" he said and I gave him a pouty face, "fine! Go! Keep your phone on you at all times."
"Yes dad" I said sarcastically before climbing out of the car and running towards Peter with a smile on my face. I waved to Steve as he drove away.
"Dad?" Peter asked.
"Do you really think Captain America is my dad?" I asked.
"That was really stupid" Peter said.
"Nah it's okay. My real dad is Loki. You know the guy who destroyed New York" I said staring at him.
"Wow" he said as we walked down the street.
"Yeah. My life has been crazy" I said.
"Says the girl who is two people: Jade and the Raven" Peter said.
"Look who's talking Spidey" I said pushing his shoulder.
"Wait so... Thor is your Uncle?" He asked.
"Yeah" I said smiling, "God of Thunder!"
"So you have awesome powers?" He asked.
"Not at the moment. They got taken away from me for about a week or month" I said shoving my hands into my jeans pockets.
"That's a different kind of punishment" Peter said making me laugh as I kicked a rock across the sidewalk.
"I guess I upset my dad. And he took them away for a little" I said.
"So Loki? Is he still a bad guy?" He asked.
"Yeah. I know it sounds bad but I hate him. I hate my dad. He has no idea how to take care of a teenager" I said making Peter laugh.
"Sounds awful" he said.
"It's the truth. My dad has no idea what to do. He thought he could use me as a weapon against SHIELD!" I said as my phone beeped.

Get your butt to the tower!~ Nat

"Sorry that was my... Aunt Natasha. I have to go. I'll see you tomorrow Peter" I said before running across the road and down the street to get to the tower. I got inside and ran into the elevator.
"You know what to do JARVIS" I said.
"Of course" JARIVS said as the doors closed and the elevator started to move.

"EVERYBODY DUCK!" I yelled as Emma, Thea, and Arianna laid down on their stomachs and ice blasted everywhere. It hit Loki in the chest making him fall backward.
"J-Jade?" asked a weak voice. I turned to see Alison with an ice shard sticking out of her stomach.
"NO!" I yelled and rushed toward her. Before she fell to the ground, I quickly caught her, "no. No. No. This can't be happening!" Alison laid her head in my lap as I slowly pulled the ice shard out of her stomach. She whimpered at the pain and I apologized silently.
"J-Jade can y-you sing for m-me?" Alison asked as her skin grew cold.
"Sure, what song?" I asked moving her hair from her face.
"L-Lullaby" she said as Emma, Thea and Arianna stood behind me with tears in their eyes.

I snapped out of the memory and looked around to see that the doors were open. I walked out and stood in front of Nat. Her nostrils flaring with anger. She didn't look too happy.
"Get your homework done" she demanded. I stared at her and raised my eyebrow.
"You're not my mother" I hissed walking away from her. She grabbed my arm and pulled me back towards her.
"I'm trying to give you a normal life" Nat said.
"That's where you're wrong!" I yelled yanking my arm away from her, "I'll never be normal! Why can't everyone understand that! You want me to be someone I'm not. But I have news for you! I'm not normal! I never will be! I'm a monster!"
"Jade?" Nat asked as I backed away from her.
"I'm just like my father" I said running down the hallway. I felt like everything was going in slow motion. I pushed over agents who tried to stop me. I ran into the cell area and ran up to my father's cell. I locked the door to the outside so no one could get into the room. I heard Steve beating on the door but I ignored him.
"What did you do to me?!" I yelled.
"You're becoming just like me" Loki said standing up and walking up to me. He's lucky he was on the other side of the glass.
"I don't want to be like you! I HATE YOU!" I yelled falling to my knees. I crumbled to the floor and started to cry. I hated being this broken. Loki looked at me with hurt in his eyes. He waved his hand and I felt a wave of energy surge through me.
"Your powers have returned. I can't stand to see you hurt, Jade" Loki said.
"You caused the hurt!" I mumbled as I felt my energy come back to me. I got up and stared into my father's green eyes.
"I am truly sorry for my behavior, Jade. Sit down. I want to tell you a story" he said and I did what I was told. I sat down in front of the cell and he sat down in front of me. He took a deep breath before speaking, "one day a man met a women. She was a beautiful women with amazing talents. They bonded for awhile until they fell in love. They had to keep their relationship secret-"
"JADE!" I heard Steve yelled put I ignored him.
"They kept their relationship secret from everyone. Except for the man' family. Soon those two people were wed. They loved each other very much. Soon the women was with child. The man was nervous. He had no idea how to care for a child. He was so worried about his wife. But when the baby was born he was thrilled. He wanted to do everything he could to protect his baby" he said.
"What was the gender?" I asked.
"It was a girl. Her name was Jade" he said before he cleared his throat and continued with the story, "the man was soon needed back home. He didn't want to leave. He wanted to bring his wife and child with him but his father forbade it."
"So you wanted to take me and mom to Asgard but Odin forbade it?" I asked.
"I wanted to come back and find you and your mother. I wanted to be a family again but I let my mind take over and not my heart. I wanted to take over the world with an army but now all I want to do is be with you and your-" but he was interrupted when the door flew off its hinges. Steve stomped over angrily and grabbed my arm roughly. He looped an arm around my stomach and picked me up off the ground. I kicked and tried to get away.
"Let me go!" I yelled as he carried me out of the room.
"What's wrong with you?! He's dangerous" he yelled.
"What's wrong with me? Everyone is trying to make me something I'm not. I don't like school! I don't like that stuff. I don't like being told what to do and how to do it! How am I suppose to be a hero when everyone can't just leave me the way I am?!" I yelled before getting away from Steve. I ran to the elevator and pushed the button. Steve started running towards the elevator just as the doors shut. Once the doors opened again I walked through me and Steve's floor. I walked into my room and shut the door.
"Lock the door JARVIS" I said laying down on my bed.

Moments of laying in my room in silence and many knocks on the door that I have chosen to ignore. There was another knock and I knew who it was.
"Go away Johnny!" I yelled.
"That's not a nice way to talk to your mother" said a female voice behind the door making me sit up.
