Chapter 4

Friday night
•Katelyn's POV•
"I only have an hour and a half to get ready!" I yelled even though I was the only one home. I looked at my iPhone and a message from Jack popped up

J: see you at 7 baby girl ❤️
K: okay. Until then.
J: can't wait!
K: same. Now leave me alone while I get ready.
J: FANCY PLEASE!
K: OK

Well crap. Scratch everything I just picked out. I returned my white crop top and jean shorts to my closet while I looked for something else. I finally found the right dress and decided to curl my brown hair. I still had to do my makeup so I went for a more classy look. (Pics above) I hope Jack likes it.

6:45 pm

•Jack's POV•

Oh gosh. I hope Katelyn likes Olive Garden. I know I told her to dress fancy but it is our first date. I found out from her best friend, Matt Espinosa, that she liked Italian so let's just hope she likes this.

6:58 pm

I just got out of my car with the dozen red roses I got for her and I'm really nervous. Yes the Jack Gilinsky is nervous for his first date. I've never been this nervous for s first date with a girl before. I hope she likes roses.

Oh God I just rang the doorbell and she came out looking like a goddess. She is absolutely beautiful. " H-here you g-go" I managed to spit out and handed her the roses. "Jack, they are beautiful!" She exclaimed. I tried to be smooth but ended up stuttering "Y-you are more b-beautiful"
"Jack you don't have to be nervous about this. I am super excited." She said hugging me. "Is this fancy enough?" I had regained some of my confidence when she said that. "Yes beautiful it is perfect. Just like you"

Olive Garden

Oh no! I just saw my ex Madison walk in. She was in a very tight and skimpy dress with Skate on her arm. She started walking towards us. Once she reached the table she said "Hi! You must be Katelyn!" Which was much nicer than I had expected. Katelyn stood up and, being her wonderful self, brought Madison into a hug. "Hi I'm Katelyn. You must be Madison." "Yeah" Madison said "And I'm here to tell you that Jack is mine and only mine. You will be sorry for doing this." There's the old Madison I know. And hate. "Oh" Katelyn said with worry in her eyes. "Yeah well we better go to our table Mad." Skate said after noticing my signal. "Yeah. Your right. I just wanted to meet Jacky's new girl of the day!" She said that. She actually said that. After those words came out of her mouth I snapped. "You know what Madison? I've only known Katelyn for a few weeks but I already know that she is ten times the woman you will ever be so you can go and..." I stopped myself for Katelyn's sake. I could see tears forming in her eyes but suddenly a small and almost evil smile crept onto her face. Then something that I never thought Katelyn would do happened. She slapped her. Katelyn slapped Madison. Madison winced and brought her hand to her cheek. "You're going to regret that"
She whispered.
