Chapter 33

•Jack's POV•
I turned around and saw the thing I dreaded most. The cops. They walked over to me and immediately put me in handcuffs. "Jack!" Katelyn yelled her voice breaking at the end and she started sobbing harder than before. The cop was really understanding though and let me go over to her.

Since my hands were behind my back I kissed her forehead and told her everything was going to be okay. "No Jack!" She said. "It's not. Hay and Andy aren't even 2 weeks old yet and you are going to jail!" I tried to talk but she cut me off as soon as I opened my mouth. "It's my fault. I'm so sorry. If Matt hadn't offered to help none of this would have happened."

"Woah woah woah!" I started yelling "Matt said that you invited him over and that you said that I wasn't there for you guys. That's why when you hugged him I went and decked him. He's an ass."

"Sir, we need you to calm down and watch the foul language" the officer said calmly. "Yes sir. I'm sorry. I am just so pissed... I mean ticked off about what that guy said to me." I tried to explain.

"Officer?" Katelyn said, in her sweet voice, "may I take just a moment of your time to explain what happened so you can reconsider if what Jack did is justified?" She said it so politely that the officer, who wasn't even a year older than both of us, just stared and nodded. She walked him to the living room where she had put the babies in their play pens. Good move on her part. I could hear muffled speaking and I couldn't make it out.

I assumed she was explaining how she and Matt did this secretly and blah blah blah. They walked out of the living room and up to me. She pecked me on the lips and the officer took me outside.

"Listen, I don't ordinarily let people go, but your reason was justified and you have those 2 kids so I'm going to let you off the hook." "Oh my God! Thank you so much!" I said. He started to walk away but then I remembered. "Hey?" I said "Yeah?" He said "Um handcuffs?" I chuckled. "Oh right! Sorry." He laughed and took them off.

Sorry about the short chapter. I'm tired even though it's only like 8:00. Lol I just finished an entire book for school so I can't believe I had the energy to do this. See you later my lovelys❤️❤️
