Chapter 25

•Katelyn's POV•

We were at the doctors office. I hadn't been feeling well at all and my stomach hurt very bad. So we had made an appointment for today. I went in and sat down with Jack sitting next to me. The nurse went through all of the normal questions and I told her about my symptoms and what I thought it was. We explained everything to us. She smiled at us and told us that the doctor would be in shortly. About 15 minutes later the doctor came in. "Katelyn!" She said. "Hi Dr. Carpenter!" I responded. She continued the conversation by telling me her little speech. She took my blood pressure, and looked at my eyes, ears, mouth, and nose. Then she laid me down and felt around my belly. She giggled to herself. "Katelyn, is this your husband?" She asked "yeah, why?" I said. "Well," she started "I need to go get the ultrasound machine just to make my assumptions true before I give you my diagnosis."

She brought the ultrasound machine in and scanned around my belly. She looked and read the machine. She smiled brightly. "Well, congratulations! You're going to be parents!" Jack's eyes got so wide he looked crazy!!! I was so happy I couldn't say anything. We were gonna be parents. Jack got up and ran over to me which was kind of hard because we were only steps away from each other. "Your gonna be a daddy!" I said to Jack through my tears of happiness. "I'll step out for a moment and give you two some privacy." Dr. Carpenter said. "We are gonna be parents" Jack said. "I know!" I whispered. I couldn't even talk I was so happy. We were both crying tears of happiness when I stopped in my tracks.

•Jack's POV•
"Oh my God!" Katelyn said quite loudly. "What? What?" I said concerned. "Grace is pregnant too!" She said. "So?" "So? SO? Jack! She is going to hate me! These were her nine months and now she will have to share them with me. I would never have wanted that." She said breaking down. "Baby? Listen to me. If Grace isn't happy for you the she isn't a good friend. You are going to have our baby. We are having the same emotions as her and Sammy. Don't feel bad. We have a baby to prepare for!!!!" I said trying to be enthusiastic towards the end. "You're right baby. I love you" she said. "I love you more"
I said back. "I love you most" she said. "I love you to the moon and back." I said and kissed her forehead. We were both back to being excited.
