Dean: It was finally time. The clock inched closer to the 12 each second, causing your eyes to tear up. Dean smiled sadly at you, a door slamming shut behind you guys. You turned your head, only to find that Sam had left. "We can do something, me and Sam; we'll figure it out." You pleaded, the tears streaming down your cheeks. Dean's calloused hand reached up to your cheek, turning your head to him. Slowly, he leaned in and gave you a kiss. You pulled away, choking back a sob. Suddenly, it chimed. Twelve had come when it was least wanted. "Dean, maybe Sam's—" he shushed you, a silent tear falling down his cheek.

"If you love me, you'll let me go."

Sam: "Hang in there, Sam—Sam!" You cried out, holding Sam's head on your lap as Dean sped to the hospital. "This is your fault!" He snapped, making your sheild Sam and grimace. "If you came when I called, we would've been fine!" You yelled, tears dripping down your face. "Call Cas, call him!" You demanded, shakily trying to calm Sam's scared demeanour. "I-I'm fine..." He choked out, a thin ribbon of blood going out of the corner of his mouth. "Cas, get your feathery ass down here! Now would be great!" Dean screamed up to the sky, getting wind for an answer. "Dammit, Cas, answer me for fuck's sake!" He punched the dash, causing his hands to bleed. The impala squealed to a stop and you jumped out, taking Sam out. "Help!" You screamed, your voice hoarse and the tears still coming down. "Help us right now, God damnit!" Doctors and nurses came, the time flying by. Sitting in the waiting room made you anxious, just thinking of all the worst cases. Dean paced, not helping you one bit. But you didn't stop him. A doctor cleared her voice. "We tried all we could, he flatlined 3 times..." You shook your head, staggering. "No, you didn't try. You didn't try! YOU KILLED HIM, YOU DIDN'T SAVE HIM!" You screamed, arms wrapping around you and trying to shush you. "Sam isn't gone, this..." Dean turned to you, tears in his eyes. You shook, sobbing into his chest.

"If I had to choose, I would die for you."

Cas: Shakily, you touched a finger to Cas' bleeding chest; trying to console him. "You'll be fine, Cas," you whispered, trying to keep your cool. He coughed up blood, gasping for breaths. Your heart broke, piece by piece, every time you tried to breath or a tear slid down his face. He was in pain, you could tell. If anything, you could feel his pain. Why can't I save the ones I love? Cas' breaths became more shallow, ragged and quiet. "I love you, we can get through this," you whimpered, knowing very well you couldn't. The stab of the angel dagger was fatal, anywhere. He looked up at you, trying to mask the pain. He reached up and held your hand, his eyes looking to the ceiling before the went dull. You felt the tears come in a wave, wracking your body. His lively, cerulean, eyes that were filled with wisdom and curiosity; gone. Your heart ached, it broke, it disappeared. It was gone. You bent over his lifeless vessel, knowing he could never inhabit another one again. His wings stained the concrete around him, making you sob harder knowing they would never wrap around you again. You sobbed and screamed for him to come back, hugging his vessel; wishing it could be warm again—wishing it could be home again.

"Don't cry, I'm always with you."
