There ain't to me if there ain't no you.
"Can you hold on, [Y/N]? Just for us, please." Sam said calmly, only trying to act brave for you while he was a bundle of nerves and emotions. Your eyes rolled to the back of your head, causing him to tell at Dean to hurry up. "Wake up!" He shook your shoulders roughly, but not too rough to hurt you. Sam's eyes burned as he held back the tears that threatened to spill over if he did. "Promise me you won't cry or miss me when I'm gone." Sam shook his head fiercely, determined not to break both promises. "I promise, but why?"
That was the last thing he had said to you before leaving. Him and Dean had arrived back at the bunker, finding it eerily silent. Their first thing to do was to make sure you were ok, only to find that your were not, in fact, okay. You were beat up badly, your chest heaving one final breath before going still. That was when Dean performed CPR on you like no tomorrow. Luckily, he brought you back, but you still weren't quite...there.
A beat of wings and a small chill, Cas had appeared in the passenger seat beside Dean. "Is she ok?" Cas said gruffly, looking out the Impala's window with worry laced throughout his voice. Dean gritted his teeth, trying to refrain from screaming at Cas for his cluelessness.
"No," he managed, forcing down his temper—for you. "She is not fine. Fix her, Cas!" Castiel took in a deep breath in, trying to stay calm. "You know I can't," He snapped back, not wanting to explain. Sam glared at them both. "Hurry the fuck up!" He shouted, cursing, surprising both of the men in the front.
"Please, help her!" Sam pleaded as the doctors took you away, his heart leaving him to stay with you the further you left. Dean rubbed his face, wishing it was all a dream. Wishing, hoping, he could punch himself and wake up from the nightmare that was life. Cas, on the other hand, left the hospital. Unable to handle the emotional stress that was forced upon his shoulders. Both boys were mad at him for not healing you, but he couldn't. He couldn't and that made him pissed at himself for being so weak. Cas stared out at a lake, a silent tear slipping down his face for the first time; remembering you.
"[Y/N]" someone said your name, causing you to sit up and get out of the bed. Strangely, you felt nothing. No pain. No aches, chills, or soreness. A girl stood before you, her brown hair shining and complementing your pale complexion. She beckoned for you to follow, you taking cautious steps to her. "Who are you?" You asked, reaching her. "I'm Rain, a reaper."
You jumped back, swivelling around to see your body there, barely breathing. Your breathing hitched, fear sweeping up your spine. "Relax, I'm here to show you your consequences; to see if you want to stay or go." You gave her a look, anxiety filling your ghostly body up. "I know what you did." Rain slowly said, clicking her tongue. "I have to say, why?" You stared at he floor, ashamed. "They wouldn't care, they were better off without me dragging them down."
Rain frowned, stepping to you. "Drawing demons to you, to—to kill yourself and make it look like it was their fault? Not yours? [Y/N], you know better. Those demons, sure—they did the wrong thing. But you, you, were worse. Getting innocent, freshly risen, demons into trouble with the trio? You just wanted them dead with you, didn't you?" You sucked in a breath, the truth smacking you hard in the face.
"Rain—" "Don't you 'Rain' me, missy. Let's go take a look at them now, shall we?" You blinked back tears, nodding you head hesitantly. She snapped her fingers, both of them appearing in the waiting room. Sam was sitting down, his knee busy going up and down. "My fault..." He murmured to himself. "If I hadn't left, this demons wouldn't have gotten her." Your frowned deepened. "Sam, listen to me! It wasn't you, it was me! All me! I called them, not you! Sammy, stop!" Rain shook her head disapprovingly.
