Purgaytory
You hid behind the tree, not making any noise. Rumor has it, a human had found its way into purgatory. It was unheard of, and everyone was out to kill him. And the Angel, apparently they both came together. You curiously watched from the sidelines, seeing him trek through the rough terrain. Not too long ago, you had passed the Angel, but you meant no harm. In fact, you protected him from monsters without him even knowing.
Sometimes you wonder what you did to deserve this. To be killed and sent to this hell. Of corse you couldn't go to heaven, but it would've been nice to. You were the kindest monster, but a hunter killed you, right in front of your sister. You held no grudges, but still felt the familiar taste of bitterness whenever you thought of that hunter.
Shaking your head, you blinked and wondered while moving silently to follow him. Could you and him possible become friends? No, he wouldn't. He was a hunter—obvious of how he was here and killing without a problem—and wouldn't appreciate a nagging monster. He'd probably end you right then and there. You shivered at the thought. Where would you go if you died in the place where you went when you first died? Confusing, but nothing good would be the answer.
You felt a step behind you and you turned, quickly using your knife to shield yourself. Another monster stood there—a vampire. You grimaced and, swiftly and precise with practice, sliced their head off with a clean cut, not giving them a second thought before going back to spying on the hunter. You almost gasped when you saw him conversing with another vampire. Surely he would kill him, right? Hunters would never befriend monsters.
But, you were wrong. Dean—as you came to find out his name—traveled with Benny—the brave vampire who approached him without a thought—to go find the Angel. It was quite troublesome really. Monsters swarmed everywhere and you were killing them off one by one to make things easier on them. But, you grabbed one and pressed him against a tree, your knife to their throat. "That human hunter," you growled, making him gulp. "I want you to go out and attack him. Tell him the Angel was rumored to be by the lake—tell him where the lake is. Don't reveal that I told him, or I will personally go out there and kill you slowly." The man smirked.
"And why should I—" you moved the knife quickly and stabbed him in the thigh, twisting and pulling it out. He grimaced and you pulled him from the tree, pushing him away. "Get going." He almost charged but you chased him, making him run through.
Dusting yourself off for no reason, you went back to watching, seeing the man pressed against the tree. This better go as planned, or else Dean might think you have it out for him. Please, please, please. You thought before glancing at the pair and then running off towards the river.

You stepped in the clearing, seeing the Angel facing there. "I mean no harm," you looked at him, and he didn't falter. Hesitantly, you took a step forward. "I-I went and told Dean where you were. He's been searching for you, you know." The Angel frowned. "I do not wish for him to find me," his voice was deep and you walked closer to him. "I'm sorry, I didn't know that. I only wish to be friends." The Angel glared at you wearily. "Really?" You stared at him. "Really." The Angel and you stared at each other before you sighed. "Do you want me to prove it?"
He furrowed his eyebrows in confusion. Shakily, you raised your knife. "H-Here..." You set it in his hands, stepping back away from him. "I give you my word, I mean no harm." He stared at you and then you tensed. You rushed to him, surprising him, and grabbed the knife, darting off into the brush as Dean and Benny appeared. They couldn't have come at the worst time.
You watched silently as they reunited and sighed. They were going to travel again, and you were going to follow. It felt like a duty now, to protect Dean. He was human and could protect himself, but it felt only right. It was kind of like you were atoning for your sins you made when alive.
