One Breath

[Note: The title of this poem is not a challenge to read the whole thing in one breath 😂]
[P.S: This was saved as a draft song for ages which is why it's so morbid like my early works :/]

"One breath I take, one more mistake equals no more heartbreak and no more of this fate"

The shadow waits while it's owner wakes and they see the mess that they've made

He stands outside, been knocking since five, not knowing that there is no soul in her eyes

He climbs up the tree, through the window as he, sees her hanging suspended, she's chosen to end it

He falls to his knees, heart yanked by it's leash

Mind and soul farther out of his reach, but then through the grief-

Feels and hand on his and sees, a hand wrapped arround his own, telling him he'll never be alone

Collapses and wakes up on the couch with a card at home with a cast around his arm holding two broken but healing bones

Walks into school the next day, avoids everyone and what they say when a voice out of the blue happens to catch his ear and says

"Hey, it's gonna be okay, and it's alright to wake at night, because of things your mind can't fight. Distance is only a matter of time, and you'll make it so don't rewind, if life gives you letters, then you should use them to make yourself better"

"And it's okay, to fake and miss and be sick and wish that things didn't happen the way that they did, but they have and they will and but the answer ain't the pills, it ain't to kill, and your blood ain't something that is meant to be spilled. And death does not solve any of life's problems, and only half a year after Autumn come the blossoms."
