Song-Off! (Pt.1)

"Yuu-chan, get the popcorn!" Mika yelled downstairs to his boyfriend, Yuu.

"Got it!" He yelled back, the sound of the microwave opening and closing and then a cabinet opening and closing as he got the bowl for the popcorn. Yuu and Mika's friends were coming over, or the Squad as Shinoa called them. And they would be here anytime now.

The doorbell rang, signaling someone was here. Mika took the stairs two at a time as he saw Yuu out of the corner of his eye hurry to finish setting down the snacks. Mika smiled at this.

He opened the door, revealing Shinoa and Mitsuba, behind them was Yoichi and Kimizuki.

"Hi! Come in!" Mika told them, waving them into their living room. Yuu was sitting on the loveseat waving to everyone and greeting them, and Mika sat down next to him, while Shinoa and Mitsuba sat on the couch. Yoichi offered the last spot on it to Kimizuki before he sat on the floor, motioning for Yoichi to sit down on it.

"As you all know..." Mika began. 

"We're having a..." Yuu continued.

"Karaoke Competition!" They both finished, using their flashiest jazz hands. Shinoa smirked.
"Get ready to lose, people."

Mitsuba and Yoichi had small smiles. Kimizuki's face remained neutral, but his eyes told them all he had something planned.

"Who's first?" Mitsuba asked. Yuu turned to Mika, smirking. 

"By height." Mika said, knowing that would piss Shinoa off. She glared but didn't say anything.

"Then I'm first." Kimizuki said, already scrolling through the options on Mika's iPod. He smirked after a second, then set the iPod down as the song began.

"I miss the taste of a sweeter life, I miss the conversation, 

I'm searching for a song tonight, I'm changing all of the stations."

To everyone's surprise, Kimizuki was pretty good at singing this song, maybe because he associated it with a certain brunette that was blushing the whole time. At the end, everyone clapped, Shinoa yelling out, 

"Suck up!" And Kimizuki just rolled his eyes as Mika got up to get his song, and almost immediately found it, and Yuu knew Mika probably knew what he was going to sing.

"Mika, baby. Yeah, yeah, we did it again. And this time," He directly at Yuu, "I'mma make you scream." Mika's performance was spent prancing around and making Yuu blush as he looked directly at Yuu for certain parts. By the end, Shinoa was laughing, Mitsuba was kind of blushing, and Yoichi's eyes were sparkling in amusement.

Next, was Yuu's turn, and after seeing Mika, he knew he had to one up him. And he had just the song to do it.

"Some people want me to be heads or tails. I say no way try again, another day. I should be happy, not tipping the scales." Everyone was immensely surprised at how good Yuu sounded, and Mika was just openly staring at one point. 

"You know you like it but it drives you insane, what you want, what you gonna do? If you wanna train me, like an animal, better keep your eyes on my every move, there's no need to be, so damn cruel." Yuu was in Mika's lap for this part, eyeing him naughtily, Mika's cheeks a bright red.

Once the song was over, everyone was thoroughly embarrassed, all except for Shinoa who shouted, 
"Cherry Boy!" To which Yuu just galred at her for. Mika was touched and aroused at the same time. "Yuu-chan..." Next was Yoichi, who had a lot to live up to. He looked through the playlist for a minute before choosing his song.

"Coming in unannounced, drag my nails on the tile, I just followed your scent, you can just follow my smile." Yoichi sang, the whole time walking around with a sway in his hips and something in his eyes that everyone noticed that he usually didn't. He also winked at Kimizuki once when he thought no one was looking.

Mitsuba pretend yawned as Yoichi sat down, and he stuck his tongue out playfully at her. 

Mitsuba picked her song pretty quick, and she was off.

"Rule number one, is that you gotta have fun. But baby when you're done, you gotta be the first to run." She sang. Her song was just being silly and basically teasing the shit out of Shinoa. They all clapped when she was done.

Shinoa, ever the shortest, came up next. 

"Here I go, bitches!" And the music started.

"I was looking for a breath of life, a little touch of heavenly light, but all the choirs in my head sang nooooooooooooooo." During her preformance she made really dramatic poses, faces, and gestures, some directed at Mitsuba, who blushed when it happened, but was awed the whole time.

Afterwards, when everyone decided what they wanted to do next, they decided they should all have a duet with the someone else. After they had a few minutes to figure out their song, they shared which one they would sing.

Mika and Yuu were going to sing Say Something by A Great Big World ft Christina Aguilera.

Kimizuki and Yoichi were going to sing I Know What You Did Last Summer by Shawn Mendes ft Camilla Cabello.

Shinoa and Mitsuba were going to sing Everything Has Changed by Taylor Swift ft Ed Sheeran.
