A/N: Happen sometime after the four month time skip. Also, title used to be Awkward Silence, I changed it because it didn't fit it after I wrote it out.

~+~

I had just been minding my own business when Shinoa came around the corner with a small smile on her face. Right then I knew I should;ve tried avoiding her, but I didn't.

"Heyo, Mika-san. Have you seen Yuu-san today?" The purple haired girl asks absentmindedly, leaning against the wall casually.

"Yes, earlier this morning. I thought he was with you guys, why is he not?" I ask irritably. Shinoa shurgs.

"He said something about checking up on you or something, so therefore, we thought he was with you." Shinoa explains, turning to walk away.

I want to stop her and demand why the hell she's not looking for him. But there was somehting in her eyes. She knew exactly where he was. I walked slowly, standing right in front of the door.

"We're running out of rations, and so I'm going to form teams so we can go out tomorrow to get stuff~!" Shinoa's loud voice drifted out of the slightly cracked door.

"Are you really going to gloss over what we originally came here to discuss?" That was Kimizuki sounding especially irritated, and worried. Very worried.

"No, I just had that announcement to make." Shinoa says. Someone coughs, it sounds like Narumi, and I can just imagine she's rolling her eyes.

"I know. We have to talk about it." Shinoa says after a moment, sounding defeated. And for the first time since I've met her, scared.

"I'm not going to say sorry. I don't regret what I did." That was most definitely Yuu-chan. So she did know where he was. And also, what the hell were they talking about?

"Yuu-kun, you killed yourself." The world froze. Yuu had tried killing himself? When? How?

Why?

"Yeah, but I'm here now." He huffed, and I could just picture that adorable pout he always got-. No stop it, Mika! Their conversation is important this time!"

"That's only because of your god-damned Seraph blood! If you didn't have that, where would you be, Yuu. tell me. Because I really want to know where you think you'd be!" Kimizuki shouts angrily. I smirk, despite my feelings towards the earlier news. He sounds like me.

"Hell, repenting for all my sins. I can list them if you want." Yuu offers, sounding defeated. I want nothing more than to barge in there, yell at him, and then hug him to me and never let him go. But I can't. Not yet.

"Name one thing a cinnamon roll like you has ever done wrong in your life." Mitsuba says, and by her tone, she's gritting her teeth.

"I couldn't protect them. Him. I left him to die when I could've saved him. I left him to endure all those years alone." He choking up now, and I can tell his squad doesn't exactly know what he means. They only know it has something to do with me. I know I'm an idiot for letting Yuu to continue to think that my state now is his fault. That what happened is his fault. I felt sick knowing how he blamed himself. And how he was breaking down in there because of me. "Heck, I couldn't even get Guren back. I'm useless, just like my parents said. Maybe instead of running away I should've let my father kill me."

Those words broke my heart, and I couldn't take it anymore.

"Yuichirou Hyakuya you are not useless. You are the only reason I bothered living for 4 years." I said firmly as I swept into the room, startling his squad members. Narumi fell off the box he was sitting on. I didn't think I was that scary.

"M-Mika." Yuu cried, looking up at me as I walked to his side, hugging him tight.

"Yuu, you are the most loyal, kind, caring, trusting, and stubborn person I have ever met. I think me and your whole squad can actually agree on that." I said, petting his hair back.

"W-were you listening the w-whole time?" He asked. I smirked.

"Yes. I won't ask any questions now, but I expect you to answer them later." I said, letting him know that I would not just drop the subject. I wanted to hear about the details.

"Ehem." Shinoa coughed to get our attention. I let go of Yuu, reluctantly, and turned to face her.

"Yes?"

"Here are the groups for the supply run tomorrow. Me and Mistu, Kimizuki-san and Yoichi-san, Mika-san and Yuu-san, Narumi stays here to guard this place."

I raised my eyebrows at me and Yuu being paired together, but I won't look a gift horse in the mouth.

Yuu looked over at me, a weak but genuine smile on his face. I smiled back, making an effort to put that we-will-be-talking-about-that-later look. He sighed, but still looked happy, and I think he looked a little better now.

I got up, giving Yuu a last look before walking over to Shinoa.

"You conniving troll." I muttered when I got close enough. She looked at me over her shoulder and shrugged.

"Go get Princess Peach, Mario." She said, rolling her eyes. I had no clue who she was talking about.

"Who?" I asked, making her gasp.

"You don't know who they are! The horror!" She says in fake horror. She then shrugs again.

"Such a good reference wasted, Shinoa." Yoichi says from across the room, where he now sits with Yuu.

"I know~!" She replies, and goes to Mitsuba, immediately whispering something in her ear that makes her blush.

I walked back over to Yuu and hugged him, nuzzling my head in between his neck and shoulder.

"You really aren't worthless, Yuu. I love you." I could feel Yuu blush at that statement.

"I love you too, Mika."
