(I love writing these. They're so fun to write, but I know they suck no need to throw the disappointment pie into my face. Based off a little drawn comic in a post by pemprika on tumblr)

"Yuu-san, you need to get out more." Shinoa told me. I scoffed.

"Nope, sitting right here playing Mariokart and beating my high scores all alone is what I prefer to do. So leave me to it." Shinoa snickered at this as I pulled on a jacket. At this point, I knew I couldn't free myself from her clutches.

"We're just getting coffee, it's not like I'm taking you to a club." She winked, and I remembered that one time. Or, more, remembered about what Shinoa showed me what I'd done, as I personally didn't remember it. I cringed at this, and glared at her under my bangs.

"Yeah, yeah, I know that event is never to be named." She said, sticking her tongue out at me. I huffed. pulling on my messenger bag. Not a purse, whatever Kimizuki said. It had never been a purse.

"I guess I'm ready." I huffed as she slung her actual purse over her shoulder. She smirked.

"That's the spirit Yuu-san!" Shinoa exclaimed happily, pushing me out of the apartment.

She pulled me into a coffee shop just down the street. I'd been here once before, and I vaguely remembered a cute blonde guy.

"So.....have you seen any cute guys lately?" Shinoa asked as they waited at the back of the line, snapping me back to reality. (ope, there goes gravity > sorry I just had to.)

"Maybe..."  trailed, pointedly not looking at the counter.

"Ooooo, Yuu-san is thinking of someone!" Shinoa teased, giggling. I shook my head.

"You're hopeless." I scoffed, my eyes crossing the barista. Shit, it was the cute blonde one. I stared longer than intended, catching Shinoa's attention, but his eyes were really blue. I think I just found my new favorite color.

"Is that him?" She questioned. I stared at her with a droll expression. She clapped her hands together excitedly. She took a coin from her purse, confusing me. "Heads, I win, and you have to flirt with him, tails, you don't but you have to say something like hi, 'kay?" She asked, and flipped it without waiting for my input. I protested, but she;d already flipped it, not letting me see the results.

"Heads!" She sang, putting it in her pocket. I sighed. Fine. I'd try, but fail miserably.

When our turn came, he asked what he wanted. His voice was a definite plus.

"Caramel Brulee!" Shinoa chirped and turned to go, poking me in the ribs.

"Does she have a name?" He asked me. I scratched my head, smiling awkwardly.

"Yeah, it's Shinoa." I told him, embarrassed of her.

"What do you want?" He asked, eyeing me strangely.

"Bare with me, I lost a bet." I said before beginning.

"A mocha with an extra shot of you." I said giving my best charming smile. The barista laughed.

"I'm going to pretend I heard just a mocha. Anything else?" He said, voice full of laughter and eyes sparkling brightly. I pretend winced at this, then winked at him as I said my name.

"Yuichiro." The barista's eyes twinkled with what looked a lot like Shinoa's Look. When she got that Look, you were to be afraid, be very afraid.

Surprisingly, I might have imagined it, but as I turned away, I could've sworn he winked, but I kept walking to where Shinoa was a few feet away, pouting slightly, but mostly looking like a proud mom who'd just dropped her son off at preschool.

"Yuu-san, that was too cute! I took a photo for Shinya-nii and Mitsu!" She applauded. I rolled my eyes, then grabbed for her phone.

"Don't send it to Shinya! Guren'll see it because Shinya'll show it to him just to embarrass me further!" I whined when she moved it of my reach. She shrugged.

"Shinoa!" Heaven in a human called. Shit! Did I just really think of him as heaven in a human?

She flounced up to him, and whispered something to him, to which he replied by smirking.

"What'd you tell him, purple troll?" I asked her, narrowing my glare. She shrugged.

"That's actually a compliment, good to know you think I'm fierce and guard my bridges if you know what I mean!" She chirped, sitting down and blowing on her coffee.

"Reminds me of when I blow Mitsu." She commented to herself as she continued to blow on it. I shivered.

"I don't want to know what you do with your girlfriend, Shinoa!" I complained.

"Yuichiro!" The barista said, voice slightly different this time. It had a certain element to it I couldn't name.

I walked over, grabbed it, and turned to walk away before I heard,

"Yuichiro was too long." He said, and went back to making coffee.

On the cup was written

Yuu-chan ;)

The whipped cream might be sweet,

but I find your flirting attempts even sweeter! <3

XXX-XXXX  Call me! -Mika the Barista

I blushed immediately, putting the number in my phone as Mika and putting the heat guard on, before dragging Shinoa out.

"You're blushing like a kouhai who wants to confess to senpai! Spit it!" Shinoa sang.

I removed the heat guard, and she spit the coffee she'd sipped a moment earler onto a potted plant on the walkway.

"Oh my god! You actually got his number! Holy shit!" She sputtered, taking another sip of coffee.

"I know." I said wearily, taking the first sip of my coffee. It was so good. I decided right then he was my favorite maker of coffee in the world.

And possibly my new favorite person in the world.

Bonus! (All basically a minute apart):

Mika :)

To Yuu: I found your flirting attempts really cute! I'm sorry I was working, otherwise I'd have dragged you off on a date, when are you free?

From Yuu: Pretty much whenever. And that was embarrassing! Please don't mention it again. I'm not proud of my flirting skill.

To Yuu: Yay! And your lack of skill is what landed you this date tomorrow at noon.

From Yuu: Thank you, my nonexistent skill and whatever God is up there

To Yuu: You're funny, Yuu-chan.

From Yuu: That nickname is embarrassing. :/

To Yuu: *cries* :.(

From Yuu: Fine

To Yuu: Yay! I like you better already! <3
