Writing is Hard, But For You? It's Easy

Writing something in general is hard. Writing vows of forever to the love of your life is even harder, Yuu decided as he gazed down at the fresh cream paper in front of him. The wedding was in 2 weeks, and Yuu still couldn't believe that the person he had fallen madly in love with loved him back just as much, and was crazy enough to say 'yes'.

And that's when creativity struck.

Mika couldn't have wished for a better day leading up to the ceremony. His fiancée had woken him up with a kiss and then he had been whisked away for final preparations by Shinoa, the maid-of-honor. Yoichi had been waiting in their kitchen with freshly made muffins and orange juice, two of Mika's favorites.

Kimizuki, who was surprisingly good with hair, had done Mika's and laid out his clothes. Mitsuba, who was the other bridesmaid, had actually helped him into it, tying everything and buttoning up the places needing buttoning.

Now, as he waited in the room for his cue, he was nervous he would trip or mess up his vows or something, but Yoichi was still assuring him that everything, everything would be fine. It would be perfect. And when Krul walked him down, she squeezed his arm, giving him some of her courage, and then, he'd seen Yuu's bright eyes, misty with millions of emotions, and his smile, oh his beautiful smile gave Mika all the strength he would ever need to do this.

The words were a blur, but since they'd already practiced this part, Mika didn't need to put much thought into it. But then, the custom vows were on, and Yuu's smile somehow got bigger.

"Mika, the love of my life. I would never have guessed that the grumpy librarian would trip me, however accidentally it was, and lead me on the best journey of my life. You have become my strength, my courage, my compassion, and somehow, what I spend most of my money on." By now, most people were tearing up and/or laughing. Mika was crying, but Yuu wasn't done. "A long time ago, I'd decided that I never wanted you to leave me. I don't remember what our first fight was about, all I remember is how painful that night was without you. I never want to feel that pain again, and so, I did some shopping, and now, you're wearing a ring that I spent hours to find, and now, you're about to wear another one." Yuu paused, his voice had broken up, thick with emotion. "I hope that you can find it in you to stay crazy enough to still love me, despite my faults and despite the fact that I can't cook." I knew he would say that, and so when he nodded to tell me to go, my tears slowed and my mouth stretched into a wide smile.

"If it's crazy to be so maddeningly in love with you, then I never want to know anything else. I love you so much and I don't think I'll be, by any definition of yours, 'sane' for a long time, Yuu-chan."

And that blinding smile made everything worth it.
