A New Beginning

Chapter 7 : Staring Eyes

Everybody was talking to their friends . They looked like they didn't care about anything else except talking to their friends . I was wrong . So wrong . They all stared at me as I passed by them . They all looked shocked . They looked judgmental . Very judgmental . I didn't like it . Some of them looked scared . Some of them laughed . Most of the people just looked at me in total shock . I knew what they were looking at . They were looking at my tail and cat ears . I knew why some of them were scared . They were scared because of a legend .

The legend was about a girl . Not any normal girl . She had real cat ears and a real cat tail . They called her the Zuneko ( I came up with Zuneko - Admin ) . She is not a Bakeneko . She lived in the forest and if anybody passed her territory , she would a attack them and nobody would ever find the body . If a Zuneko ever crossed another Zuneko's territory , they would fight eachother . If one the Zuneko won they would take the body part to their home and hang the part around their territory to keep other Zunekos away . Sometimes at night , they would leave the forest and break into homes and eat the people . The population has increased and still is . It very hard to find a wild Zuneko . Only few little people have seen a Zuneko without dying .

Zunekos that are not wild are still made fun of . I am a Zuneko so that's why I was being stared at . I wasn't made fun of when I lived in Tokyo . Momoko is also a Zuneko . There is a lot of Zunekos living in Tokyo . Nobody ever made of or was scared of non wild Zunekos . They were always treated like normal people . But here , oh no , nobody liked Zunekos in Kyoto . I knew people were going to be scared of me and some where going to treat me like I was a piece of shit .

I walked down the hallway as I felt many eyes on me . I leaned against a wall far away from the people . I was waiting for the student council teacher to tell us that we could go . This school was unsettling. It was really creepy . The walls has cracks and the floors were covered in rust . How did the floors get rusty ? It didn't make any sense because the floor was made with marble . I guess somebody poured a weird substance on the floor . My no had told me that the school was old and there is only 1 janitor . My mom told me that he doesn't like to clean the school up after school because he always feels like he being watched . Everyday .

When the student council teacher said that we could go to our lockers , I started walking down the hallways . As I walked down the hallway , somebody pushed me . " AH ! " I screamed as I fell . I heard a crowd of laughs . I looked up and there were people circling me and then a girl walked up to my face . She crouched down and looked right at the face . " STUPID ZUNEKO ! " The girl taunted . She then kicked my ribs as hard as she could . " Aw fuck ! " I said to myself . I slowly rose up from the floor and started walking again . Great . I was already being made fun of . And school hasn't even started . I sensed that today was going to be a long day .
