A New Beginning

Chapter 27 : An Upgrade

I cried for a few minutes until I crawled under the covers of the blanket . The bed was soft and comfortable . I felt a little relaxed . I closed my eyes for a few seconds and before I knew it , I was asleep .

I had a dream . It took place in a familiar area . The white nothingness . " Hello . Strange voice ! I'm back ! " I called out . " Hello Asuka... " The voice replied back . " There you are ! Why am I back here . How come I didn't come here for awhile ? " I asked . " Somedays you don't come to this place...most days you do...It is just how it works... " The voice stated . " Oh okay . " I responded back . " Well what am I going to be doing today ? " I questioned . " Oh yes...how could I forget... " The voice said .

I stood still waiting for something happen . All of a sudden a familiar weapon showed up in my hands . It was the sword . It was even more red and even shinier than last time . It even had a little glow to it this time . I looked down at the sword in awe . It was just crazy . " Why is my sword so different from last time ? " I asked . " Because the last time you used it , it upgraded a little bit... " The voice told . " Nice ! " I said to myself .

I clenched the sword . It felt good to be in my hands again . " I will make some random enemies show up at a random time so you better be prepared...you have to close your eyes...you can open your eyes when you feel like the enemies are around you... " The voice stated . " Okay . " I responded back .

I stood in one place . Using my sword as a shield . I held it close to my face . I focused on what was around me . Nothing . All of a sudden , I felt enemies circling me . I opened my eyes and glared at my blade for a mid second . Just before one of the enemies was about to attack , I did a back flip and ended up behind the enemy . I slashed it's and it bled out black stuff . It was screaming in pain and it landed onto the floor . I started slicing the heads off of the enemies and dodged all their attacks .

When all of the enemies were laying dead on the floor , the voice congratulated me . " Good job...that was amazing... " The voice cheered silently . " You seem prepared...I think you are ready... " The voice said . " Ready for what ? " I questioned . " I think that you are able to accomplish your next mission... " The voice answered . " Oh well what is the next mission ? " I asked . " Here...let me show you... " The voice replied back .

All of a sudden 3 familiar doors showed up . The 3 doors . I stared at the middle door in horror . That was the one where I had to face my horrible nightmare . " You have to enter one of these doors...you can choose which door you want...there will be enemies inside of each door...when you defeat all the enemies , you will wake up and return back to the real world... " The voice explained . " Okay . " I responded back . I looked at 2 doors closely . I was not going back into the middle door . I decided to go into the right door because it has a cool design on it .

I slowly opened to the door and walked inside . I had made a mistake . A huge mistake .
